the thing with this cable is that it converts display port to HDMI and not the other way around. as long as that's what you need then it will work great. so going from HDMI off a PS4 or Xbox to a display port monitor will not work. but going from display port off a computer to an HDMI monitor will work. so keep that in mind.

Needed this cable system to extend a touchscreen monitor for illustrations and it's dong a great job. Great value for the product. Have you bought it yet? Do It!

I'm not using this at the full 4k, but it detected my HDMI monitor correctly. It looks like I'm getting a the full 1920x1080 @60hz, I honestly forgot I was using a converter.My one complaint - the plug. It's unusually thick, I'm unable to use the plug next to it on my graphics card - if there's a tight fit or another plug very close (esp the power cord) there could be trouble. A cheap right angle or dongle connector might be necessary.I'd still recommend it, but the fact that it's so thick that I even had to remove the dust cover on the port next to this on the graphics card is why I am giving it only 4 stars. It's not a problem for me now, but I do want to add another screen soon and will have to replace this or look for a very short extension on the DP side
