Robinair TIF8800X Combustible Gas Detector

This TIF was purchased for use with my volunteer Fire Department. We have another one exactly like it, which we've had for years, and it works well. We felt it was best to have a second unit, on a different apparatus, that's identical to the one we already own so there would be no additional training required over what we already do. All said, it works well.

We use it to detect gas leaks. It should be louder when it alerts.

Best hand held gas sniffer, taking price into consideration, you can get. Ive had previous versions of this and the on off know would always fail because of where it was placed, they have now moved it to the top and shrouded it.

very good tool to use however, the early model TIF8800 with the continuously variable sensitivity control was better.

As a home inspector, this tool has helped me find a few leaks that otherwise I would not have located. It's setup is simple as all you need to do is insert the the batteries and you are ready to go.

i have used it for a few month and do not like it since it has given me a false reading a few times causing me to spend time double checking i personally just think that it was not calerbriated properly will probley order a different brand and send back to manufacterbottom line not very happy there are others on the market for less with a better review

Bought one the ticker quit working they sent me a new replacement and the ticker did work right out of the box.Smelled gas the unit could not find it used my backup other brand and found it I'm a professional home inspector need good tools for people's safetyThis line of product must have defects.
