Great weekend warrior tool
Great tool for the weekend guy that likes to work on cars. This has saved me enough headache at swap meets and marketplace buys looking for good engine blocks that it earned its place in the toolbox.

Inspect well before return window closes.
Nice tool, works well. One of the screws on the protective plastic cover was cross threaded but I didn't realize until after exchange window closed. Still happy with the tool for the price.

Some assembly required.
The case doesnt fit quite right and the color blue is lighter than i had hoped. The important bits seem good. I dont think i could have built one for cheaper than this:DSome assembly required

I didn't order a KIT!!
Product received disassembled. Like the old American truism, never buy a car built on Friday afternoon. Somebody just threw the parts into the box, and called it good. What a shame .. Fowler used to be almost comparable to Mitutoyo or Lufkin. Well, I did indeed suffer the inconvenience of putting this together, only to find out that the indicator sticks. Certainly it begs the question, how can you sell a precision measuring instrument, without having it actually assembled, and tested? And yes, the indicator sticks without the rest of this device being attached .. naked. Guess I should have tested it first. So the Fowler is being returned, and ordered an iGaging Dial Bore Gage in it's stead. The odds are in my favor, that the iGaging unit wasn't made on Friday afternoon. Cheers!
