Buy it without worry. Great quality motor
So if you are on the fence about buying this motor or it’s sister Team Associated Turn motors, don’t be. The cost per value is great. It is nice looking and quality built little unit.My set up is on a 1/10 scale 4wd buggy. The motor is a 540 size, factory solder joints are good. Ball bearings, replaceable brushes, timing adjustment possible, steel case (which I like to durability), takes pinion changes without issue and wire size is 16awg with is sufficient (you can upgrade if needed).I’m using a Hobbywing 1060 esc and seems to work well with it. The combo did over heat once and the esc shut down (as it should as a safety feature) Since then, I changed gearing and added a heat sink on the motor and two fans. Everything is staying cool now and nothing bad happened to the motor. Still running strong. Also know the Initial motor break in went fine. Cleaned it out and relubed, then kept on running as normal.System has been running on road, grass and dirt and haven’t had any issues. Normal cleaning and maintenance as neededI would buy again without any worry. I hope all this helps

Plug and play
This motor works great and runs smooth. Once I switch the motor out my battery lasted much longer and the car went much faster.

Great quality
Put this in a brushed stock 2wd stampede. I'd definitely recommend this motor, but I do feel it'd be better in a road car. For my 2wd stampede, I think the reedy radon 2, 17t would just suit it better. Or stay stock and get a cheap surpass hobby 12t 550

Junk
This is not the Reedy motor from the good ole days. These motors were great in the 80's and 90's. Especially the Reedy Sonic series. This motor literally started smoking running in a stock geared Tamiya DF-03 chassis with a tamiya speed controller and a 2s batter. POOF. I guess the days of decent brushed motors are over. This thing is junk and will melt your chassis. AVOID!
