The picture showed the ear pieces as being of a newer version (i.e more flexible/softer material). I, however, clearly received the old style as they were really hard, so hard and brittle in fact that on opening the package I found that one of them had actually snapped already! The clips are just really really cheap quality and looked like there was hair in them already (although it could well have been as a result of the manufacturing process as it was difficult to tell if it was hair or very fine pieces of the plastic) I'm not sure how long the protection cape will last as it doesn't seem to be sewn together particularly well at the hems but we will see. The brushes and bowl are quite good though.

I bought this set as I found the cloak appealing to help protect my clothing while dying my hair and also the mixing bowl with brushes for mixing up the dye solution.The bowl is nice and deep and doesn’t hurt your hand when holding it. It is very easy to mix up the hair dye in it and because it’s so deep it doesn’t all flick out over the edges!It makes the process of dying my hair much more easier and less stressful knowing that my clothing will be protected and it also feels like the salon feeling at home! My only slight thing I would change would be the tie straps on the cloak could be a little bit longer.

The set includes a gown to go around u so when u have your hair cut the hair doesnt all fall on the floor or stick to your clothing. It also protects your clothes from getting stained when u are dying your hair. The hair clips are good for sectioning off your hair and the ear protectors stop your ears getting dye on. The pot is great for mixing up dyes and the brushes are really easy to use to brush on your hair dye and get the shading and design u want for your hair.

It's all good. Could include 8 or 10 clips instead of 5. I personally didn't use the ear covers. The gown was useful. I think it's rather expensive for what it is.

All you need when colouring your hair

The cape and brush/bowl set is very good. The ear protectors are pretty bad - uncomfortable and hard to keep on. But the rest of the set is good.
