High Quality Fixture with Room for Improvement
This is a great product if, like me, you're looking for a high quality landscape lighting fixture without having to guess what brightness level and beam spread you'll need for every lighting situation. This solid, well-designed, and versatile spotlight fixture allows you to adjust both the light output and beam spread on the fly. As soon as you hold this in your hands, you'll understand what distinguishes it from even the best landscape lighting you'll find in most big box stores. This model is solid brass (more on that below) and quite heavy. I purchased both the 2700K and 3000K light color versions. So far, I’ve only tested these indoors but they all turn on and the dials function exactly as described. Again, they feel substantial and I hope to have these for years to come. Why didn’t I give this fixture five stars? A few nits…First, the paint on the dials (see photos) is very delicate and flaked off when I used a coin or a screw driver (as recommended). Although, the WAC rep I spoke with assured me that both the body of the fixture and the dials are made of brass, I’m still somewhat skeptical. As the photographs show, the text on dials is stamped in dark ink. It’s unlikely that I’ll be adjusting them often once they are installed but white paint would make it a lot easier to see the digits. Buyers should bear in mind that the lead wire for the fixture is only six feet long. While that’s fine for most applications (and longer than many competitors offer), when used as a downlight (from 20 or more feet high up in a tree or from a building, for example) the length is problematic. At this price point, a few dozen feet of wiring for downlighting should be standard. Speaking of price, this is clearly a well made product with great technology but accessories (I bought longer glare guards, frosted lenses, and stem extensions for some of my fixtures) can quickly add up—especially for the solid brass model. Finally, as another reviewer warned, there are multiple versions of these fixtures so be very careful when you’re ordering. There are four different “Accent”models (including a color changing fixture), each offering different light output and beam spread ranges. For most models you can choose from either 12V or 120V versions, you can choose either aluminum (in black or bronze paint) or solid brass (in bronze paint only) and you can also choose either 2700K or 3000K light color temperature.Pros: great quality overall, very versatile, user friendlyCons: paint adhesion on dials needs improvement, lead wire length could be longer, pricey accessories

Adjustable output and flood to spot
Terrific light. Easily adjustable brightness and flood to spot is much better than changing lenses and bulbs. Spike for ground installation included. I prefer 2700 color which is a nice feature.
