Great Cable Stripper
Very handy tool for quick precise stripping of the outer jacket. Saves messing around with a knife etc

Expensive for what it is, but it does save your cables.
I tend to use the cheap (almost disposable) "pusher" type strippers for my tool-box but still like to have tools like this in my arsenal. Yes, it is very expensive compared to the "pushers" but I haven't had it nick one cable yet and it's more comfortable to use for those jobs where those cable ends seem never ending. I've reduced my rating by one star simply because the cost of this means I would be unhappy if I lost it on site or someone borrowed it indefinitely where-as I can get a pack of pushers for the same price and not lose any sleep over it. It isn't much to look at so I cannot trust my colleagues with this but it really does do the job.

I put off getting a tool like this for ages, preferring to use the stripping blade built into my crimper or a pair of snips. Wish I'd bought this in the beginning, works perfectly and a lot easier - highly recommended.

This product is phenomenal. I am a professional installer for directv and have been using these particular klein tools for years, this is prolly about the 6th or 7th one that I have purchased. The other reviews claiming that this tool cuts the "stinger" in half or the user has "trouble" estimating what length to cut of the end is due to user error... If this is your first time using this type of stripper, there is a slight learning curve after about 20 snips of practice you'll have it down in no time. Definitely beats the old plastic circular strippers any day of the week UNLESS you enjoy "wrapping the braid around the center conductor and trying to pick all the hairs out with your fingernails"

A stripper like this seems so simple, so trivial, that you might wonder if you even need something like it at all. But if you terminate network cables any more often than "very rarely", you should get this tool. It turns what is otherwise an annoying and fiddly part of terminating cables into a quick, fun step. While you can probably use a crimp tool, pocket knife, or pliers to cut the jacket of a Cat5/Cat6 cable, there's a good chance that you'll either nick a wire, make a sloppy-looking cut, or end up cutting at a slight angle. With this tool, you'll never have to worry about that. To use, simply push the plunger in, insert the cable to the depth you need, spin it a couple times, then after removing the tool, the cable will be scored (but not completely cut through) allowing you to easily break off the jacket and remove it without cutting into the insulation on the wires. This tool is ergonomic, rugged, and good quality while being easy and efficient to use. It has survived many drops, and I can't see it breaking easily. I've never needed to use it, but you can also score the cable longitudinally if you need to open a big length of cable up for some reason, so it's a nice feature to have if you need it. $20 might seem like a lot of money to spend on something so trivial that you could technically get done with lots of other tools you already have—but terminate at least four cables, and you won't regret spending the cash one bit. About the review headline: I built a house with my wife, and we installed a *lot* of wiring in there. I terminated at least 45 runs of Cat6 myself without this tool, and in many instances, I nicked a wire or had to struggle to remove the jacket. This tool would have saved me so much time and frustration!
