Shoulder Immobilizer, White, Large

Pros: Unlike slings from doctors, this truly did hold the shoulder immobile allowing it to heal better and decreasing the pain levelCons: Actually made for a man with a longer forearm - only the tips of my fingers reached the hand hold strap. Upper arm holder hit right at the elbow which was okay but would have been more comfortable up a little higher. For a woman it would be much better if the front of the immobilizer was contoured to fit a woman's shape better - the top of the band tended to roll down. For me the extra large was a little big and this was a little tight with some clothing so I alternated between the 2 sizes.Conclusion: In spite if some of the shortcomings of this sling, I would recommend it. It gave me freedom from the constant fight to properly position the slings and having the arm held properly decreased my pain level.

It was hard to figure out how to set the immobilizer and the arm with shoulder. We bought for possible shoulder fracture. But no instruction and the single picture on the amazon page isn't enough to set it right.The strap that sets the above the elbow isn't exactly as picture. Even with the multiple try's to set the arm correctly. Once it is set up and tightened it did the job. The arm and shoulder was immobilized and the support helped with the pain. We bought Large for a 5'8" man about 160 lb. It fit good. It was the right size.Size chart wasn't that helpful. The reviews helped with sizing.We did recommend for shoulder immobilization and we would buy again.

This is nothing like the arm support I bought on here before, which is no longer available. This one is shorter in width, but a lot longer in length. Even the supports for the wrist, hand and arm are skinnier. I ordered a large in the other style so I assumed a large again would fit, it is huge and because there is very little velcro there isnt much room to tighten it. I included a picture of the old one(different brand we loved) and the new one on the bottom, everything is so much smaller except the length. The any new one will never work as the hand and wrist supports are way to far apart

I like the design and it was good for sleeping in after shoulder surgery. but spend the money on a better one. the Velcro is scratchy and one band was too long and the other not long enough. The hand loop was also in a bad place for me and it would have been nicer it it was adjustable too. I made do by always having on long sleeves and using safety pins!

sizing is terrible on this.,......I had to order 3 to get the correct size.

Patient does not care for. Kind of bulky and too warm

It has been very helpful. I have degenerative arthritis and helps to immobilize my shoulder on days that it is hurting a lot, Also reminds me to use my other arm.

I had to stitch the wrist to give a little more support, but otherwise I was satisfied.
