Great for learning math!!
I have been using this everyday with my kindergardener for the past few weeks and we love it!! My child already reads at a 2nd grade level, but her teacher wants us to get her math upto a first grade level. So as extra practice at home this book is great, it's colorful and fun! She really enjoys working on it and I love that!! It has counting, adding, subtracting, which she has already learned in the first semester of school and we used this as a review. As well as geometry, measurements, time, and money; which she will be learning in the second semester. Perfect tool, definitely plan to stay busy with your child; my daughter loves working on this when we work on it together. So you have to be prepared to be your child's tutor.

Amazing!
I have used this with older students that have disabilities that are often not exposed to a wide range of math skills beyond basic counting, calculations, basic clock reading, and basic money skills. This whole series is an amazing tool to help them get the spectrum of math skills with a beautifully colorful presentation and an absolutely elegant progression of exercises meant to train any students' mind to gain all the math skills at a conceptual level. The kids love it! kids working with other materials beg and pester me to have a Sylvan Book. Students don't want to go out and do other activities because they so enjoy working with their math book! I recommend this book for any person learning this level of math.

Super math 1st grade study
this is a great 1st grade math book it covers the basics, addition , subtraction, money (dimes nickels quaters & pennies) , shape patterns & time (hour minute seconds) i personally didn't want any coloring parts because this particular child will try to do only the coloring parts without even understanding! skipping past as much work as she can on the way! then i have to erase it. now i will have to just keep closer eye on each page she does. overall this book is great!

Used?
The media could not be loaded. Seems like it's going to be good practice. But I bought it as new but there seems to be a page already used. And side note the page numbers are cut off. Not a big deal but just wanted to mention it.

Great worksheets for home!
My children earn extra screen time at weekends by doing worksheets. I bought my second grader the Second Grade Language Arts and Super Maths Success books and she is working through them. They are maybe a touch too easy but she does struggle with math sometimes in particular and I figure it's all good reinforcement for what she's done at school. My Kindergartner is reading already and is good with his numbers so I bought him the 1st Grade Sylvan Learning Language Arts Success and Super Maths Success books which are just at the right level for him. It's a very thick book, which can make writing in the early/latter pages difficult sometimes, but you could always tear the pages out and work on them that way if that's a problem for your child. I think the combined Sylvan language arts and math success books are fantastic value and definitely recommend.

Fun and challenging games.
This is an awesome book for my kindergartener. I homeschool and she breezed through the kindergarten math book that came with the original curriculum. I got her this book and she's finding it challenging enough but not too challenging to give up.

Challenging, but fun. Well-organized.
I bought this for my kindergartner, who finishes her kindergarten-level math worksheets as fast as I can print them. This has slowed her down! The math is challenging for her, but the exercises are (mostly) fun, so she enjoys working on her pages. The book is divided into color-coded sections that cover specific areas, such as time, patterns, counting, addition, etc. I like that, because then I can easily find an exercise from an area she's good at, and one from an area she's not so good at, so she can vary what she works on.

Our kid is now a math ace
Totally helped my then-first grade daughter master basic mathematical concepts on her own without any muddled input from her math-challenged parents. We are not very good at explaining her math homework and found ourselves in frustration telling her to simply memorize addition/subtraction tables, which of course is no answer to learning math. The book made learning math easy and fund for her, something we didn't think possible. At first, we told her to do 2-3 pages a night, but she started to breeze through the lessons on her own. Our daughter is now an ace in her second grade math class and I'm convinced that this workbook gave her the foundation she needed.

If you are fond of extra books for practice, then its a must buy.
Excellent book. My son is reading in u-kg And he loves doing the book. Highly recommended. When there is no screen time, he finds himself busy doing this book. A child reading in l-kg can also try this book.

Fun way to learn math :)
Well written and organized. I was actually able to get my 6-year-old son to sit with me and go through the book during the summer time! He likes the puzzles and the activities. They are fun, colourful and not boring. And the best of all this book follows the Canadian curriculum.
