When you are finished, simply lay it down somewhere and do not touch the buttons. When you here the bop it say \"I'm going to sleep\", you can rest assure that it is turned off and will be ready to play the next time you want to bop it. I would also like to add that This game is very doable for persons who are blind. I myself have been blind since birth and have absolutely no problem with playing this game as the buttons, twist device and pull mechanism are easily identifyable. I've gotten past the expert level and am in the process of trying to conqur the master level. Any chance we get we take a whack at it. There are 3 levels ( Novice , expert and master) .In solo mode, the highest points you can make is 100 before u unlock a higher level being Expert and Master Level. 100 points is good bearing in mind the age group its really targeting. My nieces/ nephews range from 4-8, and the highest they ever made was 29 points. We adults are at Expert level and having a blast as the levels each get a bit more challenging. It's a lot of fun for both kids and adults. Not just that, but it encourages u to think quickly, focus, enhance ur listening skills, co-ordination and reflex skills. You have no idea how much fun it is until U TRY IT!!!! Its a perfect gift for kids and that parents can also enjoy alongside as well. There are 3 other levels and by pushing the white button with the 3 grey dots you can switch around to play the different levels you have unlocked.After Bop It announces it is going to sleep, to turn it back on you have to pull the blue handle (Pull It). It doesn't come back on when it is like that by just pushing the middle button (Bop It). After you hit Bop It (the middle button) Bop It calls out what you have to do. The green switch is Shout It, which you can leave on or off. When he calls out Shout It, you shout at the green switch.
