Q: What size globe fits in this? We have a old 4 inch fitter globe and are looking a fixture to hold it.

The diameter at the base of the globe that fits into the fixture is 3 1/8 inchs so your 4 inch base will not fit this fixture. Sorry about that, good luck finding one.

Q: The description of the bronze color mentions the knockout for the pull chain...does the brushed nickel also have the KO?

I'm a customer. I got bronze and it has the knock out.

Q: Can it be used outdoors?

I'm not an electrician but I would say no. It's not waterproof. You'll have to look up outdoor light fixtures.

Q: Will the glass in this let out lots of light without blinding me like a solid clear orb?

The glass makes the light soft and let enough light through.
