This much is good, and also bypasses the problem that some goals
It's basically a brief explanation of the source of the 72 fold name of G-d, or shem ha-meforesh, comprised of 72 three letter root names derived from the Torah. The practical and applied methodology of the book is based on simple visualizations of one or another of the three letter names acting upon your person or a given life situation. This much is good, and also bypasses the problem that some goals, needs, and desires are not readily turned into visual images....here, the choice of which three letter name of G-d is called upon and imagined operating upon one's life serves also to define what is to happen. So abstract goals can be represented concretely by imagining the name itself, in Hebrew letters, taking action to fulfill the prayer. My objection, and it is big enough that I almost gave the book 3 stars, is that the author gives no indication as to how he decided which names are suited to which prayers and goals. The categories given, while reasonable in themselves, are quite modern in their psychology, and do not resemble the sort found in antiquity. Are they based on the astrological attributions of the names? Not that I have discerned. Is it somehow based on the meaning and lore surrounding each letter of the Hebrew Alef-beit? Maybe, that certainly would leave room for a wide range of interpretive and inventive applications. The author is, thankfully, non-dogmatic and if a reader familiar with the Shem ha-Meforesh (often rendered Schemhamphorasch among gentiles) and its traditions wanted to adapt the methods here to their own associations with the 72 root names, it can be done readily. If the reader has no previous knowledge of the seventy-two fold name, or if he or she simply wishes to trust the author's experience and use his suggested applications, there would come no harm. Each name still refers to the ultimate ground of being in whom we live and move and have our being, so you can't really go wrong.

Left Something Lacking
I felt the author made a poor judgement call in leaving out the transliterations of the Hebrew Names of God. There are those of us who DO sing the names, while visualizing the flame letters. Also, the book can be vastly improved by being attentive to typos and missing words. This appears to be a trend in many self-published books available electronically.Frankly, as a voracious reader with excellent language skills, this carelessness makes me 'wince' with frustration because it does detract from the overall body of work.I cannot help but advise, with all due respect, that authors strive to take themselves & their works more seriously by taking the high road...attending to small details like proper spelling, punctuation, usage....get an editor to proofread your text! Why be mediocre when you can be extraordinary? Don't do what everyone else seems to be doing, Please.Your finished product deserves as much as the thoughtful research that went into it.

Beware
I thought this book was something that would go into the names of God in depth. Instead it was a book that at points sounded like it was going off the deep end and not Bible based. Not worth reading for the average person who calls themselves a Christian.

What a revelation!
This might be a short book to read, but it is packed with information that will help transform any given area of life. I really enjoyed the simplicity of it all and Baal says it like it is.

Clear and Simple
First I thought this book had lacks information on each of the Names of God and it does ,BUT I like the simple clarity of each name ,straight to the point ,not over complication. But I wouldn't want to pay too much for it.

How many Gods should we worship?
This author has written many books on related themes. I have purchased five so far and called a halt. However he remains masked and is unapproachable directly. No E-mail address. Just the Chat venues. There are several related tomes. No where does it indicate if these exercises can be used in tandem. Or how long does one use any one of the exercises for results. Surprisingly nobody from the Hebrew fraternity has so far come forward with any comments. This author has now moved into the religious Gods and Goddesses of other Cultures. Where does it stop.
