Is there 1 seven foot string or 2?

There are 2! So colorful. We use them in our preschool classroom!!

Can you write on them?

They are a thick felt. Very nice. But I dont think writing would look good. A marker would bleed.

Can these be washed and hung again? I'm thinking of these for mu daughter's room but worry about dust collecting and allergies.

I don’t think these could go in a washing machine. Hand wipe or lint roller would be best course if needed. I’ve had them up in my son’s room for over a year and haven’t experienced any build up. They are a great buy.

Can you hang these up outside for extended periods of time?

No, you can hang these up outside during your party time, after that you may need to hang these inside. They are not designed for hanging up outside for a long time. Thanks.
