If i put this above my door will it come on when i walk near the inside of the door? i hope not.

We have found that our light comes on as we approach the front door from about 10 feet away. This is perfect for us. It gives you time to get keys etc sorted. It goes off after a very short time once you are inside. It doesn't come on when you leave until you are around 10 feet away which is handy for getting into the car. We also have one above the garage which works really well too. It helps the milkman on dark mornings negotiating the cars and plants.

Is this light fully waterproof?

It is weatherproof I.e suitable for external outdoor use. Mine has been on an outside wall for the best part of a year and has withstood heavy rain with no problem. Of course, it is not waterproof in the sense that it would stand up to be submerged under water but that is not its intended use.

Is this solar powered

No, it is battery powered, but I've found most solar powered items do not last long and your relying on strong sunlight for them to continuously last throughout the night. Whereas with either electric or battery like this one, your guaranteed a full night of use.

What is the range of the motion sensor? If people walk past our driveway or car lights driving by will it activate every time? Footpath about 10ftaway

Mine triggers at an approach of about 18 feet.
