Ive always been a HP guy when it comes to computer printer but lately that Hp smart app that you pretty much have to use when you have hp's printe cartridges in your printer and the card being used for the subscription had o be canceled bc of fraud and hp. Can't get here $10 you aint printing Jack. So instead of all the HP BS I decided to splurge on a new printer. No just the basic run of he ho house printer. I went to this bad ass GS2020 Canon printer. The thing prints so fast it can print 10 full sheets before my 2 HP Envy 6022 and 6055 can print 5 each. It starts when your finger hits print. No waiting analyzing or stopping right before it starts to print because of some error or whatever and on top of that, it's got ALC D screen HPN BS don't have nothing set it up with an app and that's stupid, it's just stupid anyways, let's make. Things more complicating. This cannon printer is the Catz pajamas. Easily the best printer I've ever owned.I will and the ink fill is so G Damn easy. WhT the hell is up with that? We've been buying the $70 per cartridge for our printers. And now you can just pour the ink into a thing like direct ink right in. Why didn't they just do this from the gig go? Anyways, that's my review. That's how I see it 5 stars for me.

Easy setup, does very nice pictures, not very much colored ink, but at least it's better than a tiny cartridge. Canon colored inks have changed over the years where they yield less and less pictures per cartridge. At one time I bought a very expensive Canon printer and I printed 170 picture on one set of cartridges. Today's cartridges you cannot do that. Everytime I buy a new printer, I get less and less pictures. This new printer will help get more pictures without buying loads of cartridges. The operation of the printer is pretty much straight forward with no surprises or gotchas . I've had no paper jams. The paper tray adjustments are very stiff and difficult to slide back and forth. Kinda frustrating at times. Installing the printer heads was easy. But, opening up the top cover was difficult. No instructions on how to open the print head carrier. You have to wing it and hopefully you don't break something. The print heads are 100 percent replaceable if they go bad . Going on past use of Canon printers. You need to use Canon photo paper for the best results. Using other brands of photo paper the colors might look off.Warning for anyone who buys this printer. The black ink tank doesn't last very long. Canon designed this with relatively small ink tanks.

The initial section of the manual is has very good images. When you get past those the info goes so far and then it says to go to the computer for more details. My set-up is to use the usb to connect my printer to my computer and I was done. . Looking at the instructions for linking to my internet seemed overly complicated. The ink bottle system is very nice.

Searched for days to find a 5 star printer that would print on both sides of a paper ("duplex"), not require me to use expensive cartridges, look good, FAX, perform well and be easy to set up. This one checks all the boxes! It was a little pricier than the other options but so worth it. Connected wirelessly easily (had a phone connector cord but my computer back has no jack for that so did not use it). Didn't have quality paper on hand to try it out but it printed seamlessly. No paper jam in sight. This will last for years! It arrived quickly & intact due to proper packaging. So happy with this purchase & a set up that took minutes (except for a 12 minute printer head alignment but there's no escaping that if you want great performance). Good job Canon! Farewell Hp & your price increase on the hp ink plan....

Print, scan, copy, & fax. It's quieter and smaller than the HP Office Jet Pro 8610 it replaced. Can scan legal size on the flat bed or via the document feeder. Auto duplex printing.A couple of notes:It can only scan one side at a time (which is typical).If you enable power saving mode shut-off, you will have to manually turn on the printer to print again.

After talking with Support - The printer DOES NOT support MESH networks. I have spent at least 3 hours trying to get it to connect to the network. No chat weekend or after "normal" business hours support.This was trying to connect to a Mesh 7 environment with a newer (2024) laptop.Special characters are not easily found in the password keyboard. (who doesn't use special characters in your home password now). the interface for opening all the multiple downloads was clunky, 2001 clunky.Finally had to go the the Linksys router admin page to get the WPS to work (several tries to let it see the correct network) but even when it is connected to the correct network, the LG laptop (newer) cannot find the printer. Connecting by direct WiFi, it finds it, but then the Drivers are not auto loaded so it does not print. I WISH that some company would make a printer that just connects and Stays connected. We can connect to a spaceship for years as it passes through the solar system. Companies that make billions a year can keep our printers connected for a year.

I have owned at least 15 different printers from ink jets, lasers, even dot matrix. This is hands down the best printer I have ever owned. It does everything I need it to do. The prints and copies come out excellent. I prints great pictures. The ADF works great. I have ran close to 3000 pages thru it and still have plenty of ink. Its Amazing.
