Zero Noise Leak, great bass, good sound and built like a tank
I received them on Friday. What a remarkable purchase.A bit of Background:Owning/ed: Fidelio X1, Sennheiser 598SE, Sennheiser RS170, Sennheiser 280ProSources: iMac, Home Amp and a Galaxy s7All my cans but th eRS170 were open cans, that's a "no no" for office environment. I like to listen to my music a little bit loud. Perfect excuse to get a new pair :)First things I noticed when I got the box:*small! they are smaller than expected.*Solid built and heavy*Nice cable, it does not tangle, also made of cord/lace style*Earpads are smallish, looking for XL pads at the moment but v-moda makes you pay premium for delivery in EU*They come with a case, a very nice one to be fair, very compact and sturdy. Now sound:*Bass is very extreme*mids are muddy out of the box but a bit od equalizing sorts it fully*highs are a small bit recessed but I'm actually happy about that as it makes them a bit more clear*Stage: Surprising for the size of the cans*Loud? Yes, loads. I cannot emphasize that enough*Isolation/Insulation: In my personal opinion, spectacular, I can put them nearly at 75% volume without a leak. Obviously, I hear absolutely nothing from the office noise I am so used to.Comfort:Far from very comfortable, being used to the Fidelio x1, these are not as good, they clamp to my (big) head to the point of feeling a little bit squashed. I would say they are ok for up to 2 or 3 hours if you head is as big as mine (58cm)Now, I have small ears, yet the earpads are fair. So, if you have big ears, look for the bigger pads in v-moda's site and pay a premium for delivery. All in all, I love the sound, they are loud, bassy and noise leak free. Paid £77 pounds for them, at that price is hard not to click the buy button. At last I can feel in peace with my own music at work.

I got home and quickly unwrapped them to find a nice solid box
So I picked up my V-Moda today from the local Amazon locker. My manager at work complemented the 'fancy box'.I got home and quickly unwrapped them to find a nice solid box, a couple of cables and a 1/4" adaptor.Whether you believe headphones need burn in or not. I write this review after wearing them for only 20 mins, this is because I was so eager to share my thoughts. I'll bullet point them to make it easier to follow.1) I have a massive head, like....a big head. The V-Moda's still fit me, only just. But either way they fit, so that's good.2) They hit harder than a full speed freight train, never before have I heard a bass drop like this. Well done V-Moda.3) They are bassy, but they also do a great job with mid's and high's. The bass on these is phenomenal, but it's genuine bass, I'm sure some of you know what I mean when I say 'Fake bass'. They also have a really good spacial sound, things are controlled but I get the feeling of immersion.4) Buy them5) Buy them now6) Why are you still here reading this when you could be buying these. In short, if you're someone who likes bass heavy music, rock, house, DnB sounds amazing! Then don't hesitate and get these. Can't really fault V-moda on these. Great overall product and I'd definitely recommend them to a friend.Experience: I am an avid Hi-Fi and Audio enthusiast, I previously worked for a top UK audio brand.

Top end sound that doesn't disappoint - but at a price.
I was delighted to be offered a set of these V-Moda LP2's from Vine as I had actually purchased my son a set of the very same headphones only a few weeks earlier. The arrive in superbly premium packaging and are presented in a black rubberised carry case, best described as (but not) a Batman mask. Their high end construction is evident as soon as you handle them; they ooze quality. You are supplied with changeable metal plates that cover each of the headphone cups. The come fitted with black plates and you get a set of silvery/gun metal which can be fitted. It's a bit of a fiddle to change the plates as you have to undo six screws on each side (minute screws - so keep something to put them in as you do it). A small screw driver is supplied to do the job. Other, different coloured metal plate are also available to purchase from Amazon. The cable supplied only operates track skip/backward functions on your device - it does NOT include an inline microphone. You will need to purchase a separate lead if you need one.So, to the sound test. I use a playlist that I have compiled on Spotify that is a mix of different genres I have compiled to put headphones through a test. I also use an app call Power Amp, playing music at 320kbps via a Topping NX2 portable mini amp. This combination delivers a powerful blast of sound to the headphones to see if the can handle it.The LP2's certainly didn't disappoint. Everything about them was supreme. The sound stage was wonderfully deep, bass was tangible and moving with a good solid punch. Vocals were crisp and well defined, everything about the sound was spot on. Having purchased a set a few weeks earlier gave me the opportunity to compare the brand new set, with a set that had 'bedded in' and there was a definite difference. The purchased set sounded that little bit warmer and more refined, so that was confirmation for me that headphones do improve over their first few week of use.A big plus for me is that you are able to purchase replacement ear cushions for the headset. I own a pair of Bose QC25's and have need to replace the ear cushion twice in three years - they simply were out over time and use, and eventually they will split open and the inner foam becomes visible.Without the ability to replace the ear cushions, you are left with a good set of headphones you can't use.Overall, these headphones justify their high end price tag based purely on their sound. Add the high quality construction, the superb carry case and you've got your moneys worth. Highly recommended.
