Seems to work well
I was not sure if this was actually going to work but thought it was worth a try anyways. Every summer I had problems with wood bees digging holes in my deck and I wanted to find a solution. Adding this to my oil based stain seems to do the trick. I watched the bees land on the wood and fly away. I have only observed this for about a month now but I hope this lasts. It did not change the color of my stain in anyway and I simply added a little bit to my stain when I was putting it on. I know its a bit pricey but it seems to be doing the trick.

This is miracle juice
I recently had my whole house painted and bought 3 of these. I probably should have purchased 4, because my painter used it all up. I had to continually remind the painter to keep stirring the paint to keep it mixed in, but I didn't hover over them to make sure. I had previously used this to paint my porch ceiling over 5 years ago and never had a single spiderweb or bug infestation on it. I live in south Florida and that's rare, so I know this stuff works. On my whole house, only time will tell.

Doesn’t work
We used this to add to our paint on the exterior of our house, needless to say there’s still bugs crawling on our house. Bees, ants etc. this does not work.

Use It Every Time I Stain My Log Home. It Does Seem to Work.
I wouldn't use this to try to cure a serious infestation (like termites), but I can see evidence that it actual deters insects. Hornets have started building their paper nests on several occasions and quickly abandoned them. I stained the house again this year and again used Bug Juice. Whether it's just luck I haven't had any insect issues or the Bug Juice, I'm not 100% sure, but it's cheap insurance.

Hard to tell
I've used this product for years and it's hard to tell whether it works. What I can say is that until I started dusting the carpenter bees were having a field day. What I can't say is whether it would have been worse if I hadn't used the product.

Bug Paint Additive
This is a good product; however, the Amazon ad says it treats up to 5 gallons of paint and it weighs 16 ounces. What I received was a 8 1/3 ounce of the bug paint additive (the ad does not say shipped weight). The ad is incorrect. I have contacted the seller and asked for 7.67 ounces of this additive, as I paid for that much. After several e-mail exchanges, the seller is not willing to do this. Also, he said Amazon does not allow the ad to be changed, after I suggest he fire his proofreader and replace the proofreader with someone who could do the job. This ad is incorrect.

Great Stuff, Deters Carpenter Bees
This is a very easy product- just add to your stain. We were very happy with it. It has a pleasant enough smell (not too chemically) and it does the trick carpenter bees. I literally watched one fly up to the deck today and turn around and go the other way. I haven’t seen any spider webs on the deck yet, but it’s only been a month since we added it. So far, we would definitely order again.
