CORE 6 Person Instant Cabin Tent with Awning Green/Gray

Was looking for a tent that could be pitched faster than the traditional dome tents that I've used in the past. This tent is definitely the answer. It really does go up in 60 seconds. If you inch up the poles little by little and one at a time, you can set it up by yourself. We pitched this tent at the lake over the weekend and had what felt like 30 mph gusts for 2 straight days. The first day we elected not to put the rainfly on since we were in the 90s an wanted the extra air flow. The tent swayed a ton throughout the day but did not bend or break. The second day we put the rainfly on and staked it down and it really did beef up the stability. The T-style zipper opening proved to be much better than the traditional D style. I was a bit worried about it and not being as big of an opening but I prefer it now to the D style. This tent has amazing ventilation. As you can see by the pics, the ceiling is all mesh, there are windows on each side (not the back, the back is all tent material and no mesh) and window in each of the 2 doors on the front. You can zip everything up to provide complete privacy on all 4 walls. You do need to put the rainfly to protect from rain through the ceiling. The fly also provides a nice awning on the front over the door. There is a small pole that slides through the awning sleeve which helps keep the rain from landing on the door. The ground vents on the bottom of the sides is an awesome feature. It is completely mesh and has a material flap. You can keep it all the way open by staking it out furthest from the tent or you can close it shut by the drawstring on the inside. Either way you keep bugs out with the mesh. The mesh organizers were really cool. The gear loft for the top has dual hooks to hang from the hook at the top of the tent to prevent the loft from sagging when you hang heavier tech gear and hang a light underneath. Zippers all worked great although the main zipper gets a little tight toward the bottom when you have the windows on the doors all the way down. Could probably relieve the tension by loosening up the two stakes under/near the doors. My biggest concern before purchasing was the type of material the floor was made out of. Had read other reviews of the material being really thin and that was not what I found. The floor is a heavier material much like a standard tarp and durable enough for dog paws, while the walls are a polyester/nylon material. My wife and I had 2 cots, 2 storage totes and 2 big dogs in this tent with all of our gear stored under the cots and felt like we had plenty of room. All in all very impressed with the quality of this tent and its ease of set up, use and take down. Look forward to using this tent for years to come. If you're looking for a roomy, strong and easy tent, this is the one.

I am a novice camper with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I asked other campers about their CORE tent after struggling with painful hands to get my sturdy tent up. I splurged on this CORE 6 person instant tent because I needed to have a way to get the tent up with as minimal pulling, grabbing and fiddling. The neighboring campers gave me tips: attach the awning/flycover first, pull the tent center up FIRST before extending the poles. Thanks to their advice and free YouTube how to videos posted by reviewers, I got this tent set up (with painful hands, wrists and fingers) by myself in about 4-5 minutes! I camped last weekend with it - 1 day after it arrived in the mail. The take down was equally easy. A YouTuber video said to pull all the center poles up (waist height) and tuck the fabric between the poles inwards as you raise each pole up. Then (like an umbrella), the only way I was able to get it partially in the bag was using that syranwrap tape you can use for packing suitcases at the airport. To get the tent back in the bag requires enormous amount of hand strength (some YouTubers said it was definitely a 2 person job to get it back in the bag). One reviewer on Amazon said that the bag fits the tent... well, only if you are very strong, have no hand, wrist issues or have two people would you be able to get the tent back in the bag. I'm just shopping for a huge bag to put it in because I cannot do it with my RA issues.Inside the tent felt quite spacious, although I'm using it for 1-2 people, it looks like 6 people would be a tight fit. It didn't rain, so I cannot comment on durability or water resistance.

After a well-deserved chuckle, I had to do some surgical sleeve removal to evict my little uninvited guests. Fingers crossed that my DIY bug extraction doesn't bite me back in the future.On a more somber note, after the tent's debut use, a tiny hole showed up on the floor. This does raise a durability flag for long-term adventures. While the tent setup was a breeze, I'm hoping it's equally breezy to patch up any potential holes that appear in the future.In summary, the CORE 6 Person Instant Cabin Tent with Awning is a camping magician's dream come true. Its incredible ease of setup and overall quality for the price is certainly noteworthy. However, the surprise earwig gathering and the appearance of a hole on the floor left me with a slightly furrowed brow.
