Exactly as expected
I was impressed that anything related to Gundam was being offered in the Vine program, and I quickly grabbed these for my husband (who owns more Gundam model kits than anyone I know - hundreds). He and I have both used them, and they're pretty standard for nippers. DO NOT USE THEM ON METAL! I was appalled to see another reviewer had done that. They're not wire cutters, they're nippers for plastic models that need to be cut from sprues. And for that, they're perfect.

Very sharp
I got these to help cut zip ties that come on different items where a normal pocket knife or scissors might not do the trick. These have very sharp and very think tips so they can get a good hold of the zip tie without damaging the item such as a cable or a cord. They also seem to have a slight curve on them that allow you to cut something flush which I’m sure will come in handy in the future. A big plus is the protective sleeve that covers the very sharp point.

Not all are equal
I was warned when I began working/painting miniatures a good pair of 'nippers' is first and foremost. Yeah I've been learning. It's not just the sharpness; it's the angle, the spring and how it holds. These have a bit too deep of a blade angle for some finer nipping, but for larger and medium size it works great.Handle is comfortable, comes with a guard sheath and the spring is good. Prices range on these but the price for this one didn't break the bank. Blade is easy to clean and the handle holds well if I wipe due to getting a little paint on them.Hoping the blade lasts a long time. Decent pair. Decent price.

Durable and clean snips
With two avid modelers in the house, this tool has received lots of use over the past couple of months. The report from the pros is that it's comfortable to use, clean snips and its still sharp. At first I thought this was a bit expensive, but after having it in use for a good period of time, it's clearly worth the price. 5 stars.

Only for plastic?
Maybe I'm being unfair here. When I ordered these, I was remembering my days with plastic models, and I wanted to extend that need for precision to my more recent hobbies.Man, I put together a lot of models back in the day. And when I tore open that box from Revell, I just wanted to be finished. Shaving or sanding the nubbins off the parts was torture, and I ruined more than one endeavor by rushing it. I was much more about the product than the process. Wow, what a great pair of nippers would have done for me back then.A decade or four later, the process is really the only thing that matters, and quality tools are paramount. So I saw these nippers and thought they would fill a void in my toolbox. While they were sitting on my desk awaiting my writing of this review, I needed to cut a guitar string and there they were. They succeeded, but there is a visible notch in one of the blades. When I squeeze the handles together, they stop when the blades meet. But if I squeeze a little harder, with a click the blades will push past each other. This just tells me that the engineering of these snips is a little shabby. If you've read this far and are wondering how I gave this tool three stars, I'll just say that maybe my expectations weren't fair. They're handy little nippers and maybe for their specified task they are plenty good enough.

Very nice pair of nippers
I use these for snipping component leads on soldering projects (LEDs, resistors, etc.). Even though they're rated as plastic only, they are holding up well and do the job perfectly. I also like that the handles are oversized and make them more comfortable to use.

Great for casuals/beginners
I just got into Gundam/plastic model kits. I got this single edged nipper and I bought a different double edged from a top brand. I ended up only using this one.I found the blade aligned well and found it pretty easy to get a decent cut. I am doing the hobby casually and I'm a bit lazy, and this tool is perfect for me. I don't want to cut them out of the runner with the gate still on and then carefully sculpt away the excess. It's much easier for me to use these and just cut them straight off the runner with little to no nub left, and get to building. Doing it this way does not yield a *perfect* result, there was sometimes a little nub or just gray stress marks (on dark colors) but I can get the nub off and I don't mind the stress marks so much.I also found the grip to be really ergonomic and my hands did not tire at all. It did come with a thick rubber/clear vinyl cap to go over the blade end when not in use. This is very very good for me bc this thing is sharp. I never felt like I was going to cut myself when using it but when putting it away I'd rather cover the blade.Easy recommendation for people looking to get into the hobby casually.
