A MUST have
I received these on 05/24/18, I had to wait to unbox and pair them with my LG SK9Y. If you want to see my review for the sound bar, check out the SK9Y page. Anyway, all I can say is the set up process was seamless. Unboxing my SK9Y was quick. I only have a Xbox One X, so it works out perfectly for me. Once I got the speaker stands set up, and the wiring connected, all I did was plug in the receiver and BOOM. I didn't have to do anything at all. The SK9Y picked up the rear speakers and subwoofer. To avoid any of your wireless gear to cut out, try and place it away from any internet modem/wireless router.I spent most of the weekend watching different movies, and shows. Some of Netfix movies do pass Dolby Atmos, and honestly it sounded great. Some tracks play better than others. Dark sounds amazing on Netflix because of the Atmos, as well as Wind River plays just as great as a 5.1 set up. I have Game of Thrones on Blu-ray, which all play dolby atmos which sounded beautiful. For me the reference sound would be Mad Max: Fury Road, and The Matrix in 4K. Mad Max, you heard all the great music as well as every gun shot, and crash. The Matrix you heard all the gun fire, the deep base, and voice clarity was amazing. I do love that you can pair these with any of LGs 2018 sound bar line up.LG has really stepped their game up when it comes to sound. I primarily use it for movies and gaming. I really cant give you an idea of what the music sounds like since I use earphones for that. All in all, this is a great addition to my LG B7A, and could be a great addition to any TV set up. For me and what I wanted from it, exceeded my expectations.

Works great with my sound bar
Needed this for my lg sound bar. LG discontinued it a while back ago so it was harder to find at a decent price. Paid more than what the original price was. I think lg discontinued it to make you get a new sound bar. Works great so far. Sound is pretty good depending on what I’m watching. When I’m streaming a movie they sound great. Tv- not a good but I figured that. It’s not a true wireless but I knew that about it. Speaker wires need to be run to the wireless unit that comes with it. It connected automatically and just had to press a button on the sound bar remote to turn them on. Directions in the manual wasn’t great. Had to Google how to turn them on. Looked into true wireless that connects Bluetooth but they have to be taken down every 10-12 hours of use to charge! These work good.

Works Well with the LG SPD75A 3.1.2 Ch
I picked up the LG SPD75A 3.1.2 Ch. Atmos (2021 model) soundbar for a pretty good deal! So, I figured I would add these to give a little more surround enhancement to the sound bar itself! They work great and added the lacking surround effects only the soundbar gave. Just plug left speaker and right speaker with provided speaker wire (At Least 20ft Long) into the remote connection box and plug power directly into the wall and that was it. Simple straight forward connection via included manual. One thing I did have to do via soundbar controls was increase the rear channel to +6 and all sounded great. Hope this is helpful for others!

Almost ended in disaster - reading the small print saved the day,
I recently bought a LG SK9Y 5.1.2-Channel High-Res 500W soundbar and these speakers were nominated as an optional extra. The sound quality of this soundbar is startling. We have had two JBL sounders over the past 8 years and were reasonably happy, but the price / reviews and the ability to add wireless rear speakers was too tempting. It almost ended in disaster!THE PROBLEMThe soundbar and wireless subwoofer produces terrific sound but the rear speakers were to be the icing on the new cake. Setup was easy and I certainly recommend downloading the LG WiFi app. But there was no sound coming out the rear speakers even when at full rear volume. I read and re-read the limited documentation and eventually discovered the cause. The rear speaker controller uses 5Ghz to communicate with the soundbar. If you, like me have a dual-band 2.4Ghz / 5Ghz WiFi router and are using the 5Ghz channel, the rear speakers will simply not function properly. I also had a WiFi Range Extender for one side of the house - also using dual 2.4/5Ghz.THE SOLUTIONFrankly 5Ghz is not that valuable to me. It offers faster data rates, but over a shorter distance. We operate very happily in a 2.4Ghz environment so the solution was simple: turn off the internal 5Ghz radio in BOTH the Router and the WiFi Extender. The moment I had done this, the rear speakers came alive and they are magnificent.Hopefully my journey with this will help someone. The sound system in my opinion is worth it! :-)

Great Addition to my LG Atmos soundbar
I decided to add these speakers to my LG SNY8G atmos soundbar. They work perfectly as advertised. Some reviews are saying these are not that loud. Remember, they are not supposed to be blaring in your ears. The are just adding the additional depth of sound as transmitted by the original audio format. (5.1)You can, however, change the sound to total surround via the LG WiFi Speaker App if you want surround all the time. You can also change the level of the rear sound via your LG compatible soundbar. If you have them positioned right and are watching a movie or TV show in 5.1 or Atmos, you WILL notice the difference. And I think they sound great! One more thing--- some reviews say they don't pair at startup. The key is to unplug your SOUNDBAR first. Plug in the surround receiver and wait until it is in pair mode. THEN plug in your soundbar and I guarantee it will pair flawlessly. The manual should tell you that if your are having issues.
