Lifesaver
I love this little thing. The unit is well made and feels nice to hold, the speaker is loud but the sounds don’t become distorted – they stay smooth. The sounds themselves (4 fan, 4 white noise, 1 ocean) are varied enough that it’s easy to find one to suit what I’m looking for based on the situation or my current preference. The battery on a full charge easily lasts through one night although I do just leave mine plugged in pretty much all the time. The unit accepts power via micro usb. The micro usb cable that comes with the unit is fairly short but suitable for plugging the unit in to charge. There is an LED which glows red when charging, blue when in Bluetooth mode, and a mix of red and blue when in Bluetooth mode and charging. When I first opened the unit I was struck by how faint the LED was, hard to tell if it is charging at all in daylight – however, in the darkness of a bedroom the faint LED made sense. Some care has been taken in the design of this product! The speaker does swivel as shown in the product photographs… I don’t notice much difference but I suppose if you were using the white noise to mask a conversation, and pointed the speaker away from you towards the party you are excluding that might be of use.The unit will fit in the palm of your hand and is extremely portable. I can easily fit it in my coat pocket when traveling. The lectrofan micro is also a Bluetooth speaker. I didn’t think I’d use this feature much – but the sound quality is really good, surprisingly loud and clear compared to other Bluetooth speakers I’ve used. I find I wake up, turn the white noise off and play music on the lectrofan whilst I’m getting ready for work. I’ve also used it to listen to audio books. The unit can theoretically be used for Bluetooth phone calls as well as it appears to have a built in microphone but I haven’t put that to the test. The unit has three buttons: Button 1Short press will turn on white noise. Short press will turn off white noise.Long press will turn on Bluetooth. Long press will turn off Bluetooth.Really long press will turn on Bluetooth pairing mode. Button 2Short press will skip back a white noise (or skip back a track if in Bluetooth mode)Long press will increase volume in either mode. Button 3Short press will skip forward a white noise (or next track if in Bluetooth mode)Long press will decrease volume in either mode.I really don’t have a criticism of this little gadget, although I feel it lacks a sleep timer, but the most important thing about the lectrofan micro is that it has prevented me from committing the violent (but arguably justifiable) murder of my snoring boyfriend.

LITTLE GEM!
This tiny Lectrofan Micro is an amazing piece of ‘kit’.I’ve only had it for a couple of days and it ticks all the boxes.Firstly , before you do anything else, make sure that you read ALL of the instruction leaflet . It answers many of the questions that ‘Amazonians’ have asked about it , including myself, due to the fact that I hadn’t read all of the instructions. The white noise and fan sounds are excellent and replicate some of those found in the larger model of Lectrofan, which I also own - ( that’s very effective too, at masking agitating sounds like traffic noise, snoring, building works, noisy neighbours etc). This tiny thing has massive volume for its size. The volume , when used as a Bluetooth speaker, is also very good ,if you remember to increase the volume on the device that is paired with it. Great for small gatherings , background music , or a boogie! It’s not as powerful as my JBL, but how could it be ? The volume level ,without increasing that on the pairing device,is unremarkable but ok. It’s a minuscule device , the size of a small pot of face cream, and is very cleverly designed. It looks good and I’m pretty sure that it will raise a few comments .My main reason for purchasing the smaller device , was to keep things light when travelling, and to still have all the benefits that come with a Lectrofan ‘white noise’ machine.Lectrofan Micro totally fits the bill. I’m delighted!

Portable perfection
Oh Lectrofan. Where have you been all my life? This is a crazy simple yet fantastic idea. Sound generator/speaker practically in your pocket, to enhance your sleep, your meditation, your smartphone music experience.I bought this to give my 2 month old some white noise for sleep, as he's easily disturbed. When it arrived I tried it out on the ocean sound while my other child and I were colouring and soon had to turn it off because I was being lulled straight to sleep! I switched to the bluetooth function and listened to music for a while; the quality is quite pleasing and I appreciate getting to carry around a lot more volume than my phone produces. Now the white noise is back on, and after successfully soothing my little one is keeping him asleep while the rest of us eat dinner, talk, and colour (again!) in the same room.I love the portability especially. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, it's perfect for me to carry around while babywearing, giving my little one a sound blanket wherever we go. The only risk is, I might fall asleep too!Lectrofan, I'm a fan.

perfect for light sleepers!!!
I can't sleep without some noise and my wife also snores. Usually we have a fan that runs at night that sorts out all these problems but when you travel especially to the US, silence makes sleep at night very difficult.Originally I was going with the larger version, but I am really happy I went with this one. It fits in the palm of your hand, makes a ton of noise...its really loud, and has a funky rotating speaker. And you can use it as a blue tooth speaker for your smart phone. You have a set of white noises, pink noises and some fan type noise (which is what we used). The battery is pretty good, but I kept it hooked up to a charger all night long...and the led remained red...so no real way of knowing if your battery is charged fully. I also wish that they had a bit more fan options. BTW, Lectrofan uses some sort of fancy algorithms that do not repeat the same sound over and over again...its more random and natural. There are three buttons that all have multiple uses, takes a bit to figure out. And there is no lock...when at the airport, it was jostled in my hand bag and turned on, freaking out the TSA guy :OBut an excellent product. I hope it lasts!!!
