I have been implementing wifi infrastructure with Meraki AP's and like the cloud based management. This is perfect in that sense, its can be managed via cloud (Nebula), is 802.11AX (wifi 6) and well priced.You laptop, phone etc needs to WiFi 6 to support the WiFi 6 features of the APThe unit is nice and compact and comes with mounting platesCouple of points to be aware of- although it comes with the power adapter, if you want to go down the route of POE then you will either need a POE switch or a POE injector- does not support guest wifi on this model

I bought 2 of these to replace 2 old Unifi lite AP's.Setup was simple. Created a Nebula account before anything else, then adopted the AP's using the provided QR code. Had both up and running in a few mins.Nebula cloud management is ok. It gives useful data but I found it quite slow to update eg if a device roamed from 1 AP to another it would take a while to show the change. Nebula is free to use, but you need to pay to unlock some of advanced features.I found the performance of these AP's poor compared to the older Unifi lite AP's. Even without running any dedicated tools it was obvious the signal was weaker in most areas. I spent quite a bit of time changing the radio settings to make sure they were transmitting at full power with as little interference as possible, but no luckIn the end I returned as they were a downgrade if anything compared to the existing AP's.Gave 3 stars as they are very cheap, but performance isnt great

1stly, you do not need a subscription to use one as mentioned in another review. You may need it for nebula, but it is also possible to control these in stand alone mode directly via the web interface. Nebula doesn't really offer any advantage unless you have lots of devices you need to manage.It has useful facilities for diagnosing wifi problems, it shows the signal strength of connected stations and can show nearby access points too.I have 2 of these sharing the same SSID's . I have the same SSID for both 2.5 and 5, but have also added a specific 5Ghz SSID as well.After using Zyxels own web interface I installed OpenWrt . I prefer it, although I haven't done much with it yet. However it has a nicer way of showing nearby Wifi usage which is useful in manually choosing channels, [photo]

These access points are good value, offers wifi 6, multiple SSIDs and vlan support.You can use with the nebula app, though I'd recommended getting them configured without it (no cloud/nebula) as it has its quirks and you may not need it. I may see about resetting mine and reconfiguring themYou got to purchase a license to use some advanced features wich kind of takes the biscuit a bit as I belive you should never need to pay subscription fees to use your device at its fullest.Overall very pleased with the price of the device, setup is pretty easy.

Don’t bother buying this. It might be cheap, but it’s not worth the time and effort you’re going to have to put into troubleshooting it. Over the last few weeks of using it I had constant issues. Sometimes it just restarts on its own and takes 10 minutes to boot up. Sometimes it just stops broadcasting WiFi entirely until rebooted. I already updated to the latest firmware as of time of writing this. I’m also not powering it via PoE (I’m using provided power source instead), so that’s not what’s causing the problem either. During all those issues the device also stopped exposing its management interface, so I had no chance even to see specifically what was the issue. I’ve noticed that the management interface does not even come online, unless the device is fully working and the configuration is valid. Try changing VLANs on this thing, is so much fun. You HAVE TO configure the trunk first to carry all the VLANs, prior to configuring them in the management interface of this AP. If you mess it up, game over, management interface won’t come back online. Good luck fixing it.I work in IT. This is one of the most infuriating devices I had to configure, and I bought it for home use. I regret doing this to myself.

Fonctionne très bien, facile à installer

Weil meine Devolo WiFi Powerlan Extender reihenweise aussteigen und insgesamt das Netzwerk durcheinander bringen und ich dazu noch in einem sehr alten Gemäuer lebe mit richtig dicken Wänden, war ich auf der Suche nach etwas, was vielleicht diesen ganzen überteuerten Kram ersetzt. Mit großer Skepsis habe ich diesen AP in Betrieb genommen. Montiert habe ich ihn auf dem Dachboden wo er durch Holzdecken und seitlich natürlich durch mehrere Mauern funken muss. Zu meiner großen Verwunderung musste ich feststellen, dass nun selbst mein Shelly EM3 im metallenen Zählerschrank im oberen Geschoss nun bei geschlossener Tür plötzlich wunderbaren Empfang hat. Das Devolo Gerät schaffte es direkt platziert vor dem Schrank nicht über -80dB.Unterm Dach werden es natürlich gut und gerne mal 50°C aber das macht dem AP von Zyxel überhaupt nichts aus. Test bestanden.Ich werde nun einen zweiten kaufen und damit das Untergeschoss vollständig ausleuchten können, alleine deswegen.Die Software ist okay würde ich sagen. Ich habe einen Mikrotik Router also meine Schmerzgrenze ist recht hoch was UIs angeht. Allerdings traue ich keinem Webdienst, der meine Netzwerkgeräte managen kann. Daher habe ich konsequent die Benachrichtigung ausgeschaltet, dass ich doch meinen AP mit "Nebula Cloud" managen soll. Wenigstens lässt sich das dauerhaft ausschalten.Inbetriebnahme war easy: Anklemmen, läuft. Danach SSID und Kennwörter angepasst und sogar das Roaming zwischen den unterschiedlichen APs läuft wunderbar. Da gab es in der Vergangenheit auch öfters mal Konflikte. Besonders Nett finde ich die Möglichkeit eine Hand voll Netzwerke auszustrahlen und diese sogar auf einzelne Vlans zu verteilen. Nicht, dass ich das benötige aber haben ist besser als brauchen, wissen schon.

The NWA50AX is meant for small businesses and is solid product that can easily be added to your existing business network setup. Overall, this is an adequate access point, performance is great, light weight and robust. I would finally say that the model is affordable, powerful, easy to use for novice users, plenty of advanced features and functionality available for more advanced configurations by experienced users. The model comes with latest WiFi 6 technology which helps in awesome connectivity and speed.

Sono favorevolmente stupito della qualità complessiva del prodotto.Ne ho comprati 3 (1 Ax1800 indoor + 2 NWA55AXE Outdoor) per realizzare una rete mesh a copertura di circa 1500 mq di spazi tra aperto e chiuso.Segnale molto stabile e ottima gestione in cloud degli apparati.Vorrei ricordare che si tratta di prodotti ad uso professionale quindi, nel software, mancano alcune semplificazioni che invece sono presenti nei prodotti ad uso casalingo (più economici ma molto meno performanti).In realtà non occorrono conoscenze tecniche profonde per configurarli correttamente, però se, al primo acquisto e al loro primo utilizzo, ci si attende di essere operativi in 3 minuti si potrebbe rimanere delusi.Detto questo, la mia esperienza d’uso è solo positiva e non posso che consigliarne l’acquisto.
