Great starter kit
Our grandson wanted legos so we decided to get him this monster truck to build as he is an avid fan of monster trucks. Loved this kit. And it Kept his interest as he built it with the help from Dad.

so “Mega Bloks” is now “Mega Construx”? now I know
This is my 6th building experience in a recent adventure of mine to explore other non-LEGOS. When I say “non-LEGO,” I should clarify that I go all the way back to winter ’96-’97 with Mega Bloks when my family was looking for cheaper entertainment during an extended power outage. I went through about 15 Mega Bloks kits from then to about 2006 – several of these being over 1,000 pieces. My family-wide frustration with Mega Bloks had always been the piece fit.I’ve tried Nifeliz, Mould King, Vonado, Zylegen, and A XINAO TOYS, and wanted to try this additional company that looked awfully similar to Mega Bloks. It IS Mega Bloks. Or at least, some of the pieces (a 2x3 plate, for one) have the all-too-familiar words in a circle indicating they are, in fact, Mega Bloks. The piece fit was my primary complaint back in the day. It still is. I have to say – the other companies I’ve explored with fit better than this. (Mind you, there is a little of comparing apples to oranges here; I’ve never seen a Mega Bloks “technic.”) If you don’t mind a) the sore fingertips from pressing hard for assemblies, or b) shredding your fingernail trying to remove pieces, then by all means – go with Mega Construx. From what I remember, Mega Bloks instructions were good in indicating which pieces were new for that step. That continues into Mega Construx. The instruction manual is all-around of good quality. So is the packaging (it’s clear this is 194 pcs, ages 5+, made in 2020, etc.). There weren’t any extra pieces (ie. for if a small piece rolls under a couch beyond reach). The finished product is nice to have. I was attracted to this model because I liked the non-technic, non-pullback motor racing truck. The box transforms into a ramp; I didn’t break the seams on the perforated seams to be able to do that, but yes it’s an option. I also like how you can easily swap the “car” tires out with the monster truck portion (from the red pieces down).All-in-all, most of this kit is a 5-out-of-5, but the piece fit is a 3-out-of-5, dropping the rating to a fair 4-stars.

Awesome lego-like toy
Really cool lego-like brick toy. Looks just like the real boneshaker hotwheel. Good directions and the child had a fun time putting together.
