Good little POE Switch
I bought this to go with my brand-new Reolink RLC-511 IP camera, having been using another (non-POE) Netgear switch from some years without any problems. As with my previous switch, the GS305P is nicely built, with a steel chassis, all-front-facing ports (4 powered, 1 unpowered for linking to the router or, in my case, my other Netgear switch).Perhaps my only issue is that the included 48V power brick uses a massive and heavy IEC mains cable, and yet has what feels like a slightly flimsy 48V tethered cable terminated in the 6.5mm barrel plug that connects to the switch. I'd have preferred a lighter mains cable and slightly more durable looking 48V lead - but I guess, once it's installed and forgotten about, it will work fine.Based on tests today, this switch works great, fully supporting my new camera, and neither it nor the power supply got warm despite several hours of non-stop usage with the camera running flat out.

Fairly foolproof and straightforward - easier than anticipated to use
For PoE you basically just prioritize 1 to 4 in terms of your power requirement, and that's it, it does the rest and allocates whatever electrical supply is needed on an as-it-needs basis. Something with a 15w rating may only need a smaller supply and so-on. It's 100% simple and straightforward, my first time with an unmanaged switch, and would probably buy again. I bought cuz majority of my devices are netflix but given no web management required, no need to stick to one brand if you're going with an unmanaged switch.

DOA. Received a RMA label
First, DOA and I shipped it backSecondThis was the first switch I every purchased that didn't say there was no power supply included. Most will clearly state "NO POWER SUPPLY" It did say if it isn't in the picture, it's not included. So when got is, I said, maybe I missed it, and made the mistake of buying a switch with no power supply, but it wasn't stated. So I figured I'd keep it and just not buy from the seller again. To the seller he wasn't being deceptive, but to me, and essential piece should be stated. I tried 2 known good power supplies, and it would not poweron, so I returned it.
