Good gift for the boyfriend / Hubs!
I bought the SOG PowerAccess Deluxe Multi-Tool as a gift for my boyfriend, and he hasn’t stopped raving about it since. The build is solid and heavy-duty, with a sleek black finish that looks just as good as it feels in hand. It comes loaded with useful tools: two knife blades, pliers, a can opener, bottle opener, multiple screwdrivers, hex bits, and a durable nylon sheath to keep everything organized. What really stands out is how versatile it is, he’s already used it for little repairs around the house, tightening screws, opening packages, and even popping open a bottle. He’s genuinely impressed by how smooth and reliable each tool feels, especially compared to other multi-tools he’s tried before. I wasn’t sure if this would be “just another gadget,” but it’s quickly become one of his everyday essentials. If you’re looking for a gift that’s practical, well-made, and guaranteed to be appreciated, this is a fantastic choice. My boyfriend loves it, and honestly, I think anyone who enjoys being hands-on, prepared, or just likes having a reliable tool close by would too.

Tough tool
I had my eye on this for awhile. I had a SOG Power Pint which impressed me quite a bit, but was on the small side for general use, and the Power Access Deluxe looked pretty much like a full grown Power Pint. So i decided to buy one if for no other reason than to satisfy my curiosity. One thing the SOG tools have is that compound leverage applied to the pliers. I'm getting older and am loosing some grip strength and the grip these things bring to bear is pretty awesome. I have always viewed any brand multi tool as a jack of all trades sort of a thing, pretty handy for lots of stuff, but not necessarily ideal for any one particular task. In this vein I do not mind that the knife blades, file, and saw are somewhat on the small size. If I need them for something other than a light task, I am usually close enough to something else better. For instance, I ALWAYS have a GOOD, sharp sturdy knife in my pocket, and various other tools close to hand in my ATV. I also liked that they came with dual bit driver options and a decent bit kit. The pouch is pretty decent too. but I carry horizontal, so the belt loops are a bit small, but they work. The only real gripe I have with this tool lies with the idiot who did the final assembly. The pivot screws were far too tight to be adequately loosened. I did get them to back off a little, making the tool transfer from being too tight to use to being usable, but still needs to be a bit looser. There was far too much torque applied with too much thread locker used in the bargain. The pivot screws are of a far too soft material and I'm afraid they will strip if I use any more effort, and YES I do have driver bits of the proper size and dimension and I did use a vise to secure the tool. The design should have included, as a no brainer choice, to use a captive screw where only one side needs to be manipulated. I have yet to decide whether or not to send it to SOG. Those screws may well have to be drilled out, or the tool recycled and replaced.Overall, aside from this, it is a solid, sturdy, adequately well designed tool which has served me well as a daily use edc multi tool.

Great Multi tool
Good quality. Has a solid lockup and everything works as it should. Be careful with the knife it comes super sharp out of the box

Nice Tool Light and Useful
There are many cool features: 1. It comes with a bit set and holster that holds everything; the knives are thin and small and could easily break if stressed, same as the saw. It has many smaller drives for Philips and a flat head. if you're in the trades, stay away it will not hold up the stress. Buy something different. for the outdoors and some service guys, it will be a nice tool to have at your side when you need a smaller tool, I would carry a different knife the blake looks like a letter opener and works on small projects. nice pliers, overall it works well for me, and I work in IT

Great Tool
I have used these types of tools since the early 80's and most if not all the top named brands work well. Most of the time I have used the leader "L" but I started using the SOG tools about ten years ago and liked them but they were heavy and I had to carry enough gear and equipment to make weight an issue, so I stuck to lite and strong. However, I read a piece in one of the tactical mag's that showed a new SOG tool, this one so I ordered it. It arrived and seems well built ,strong , lite , and just what I was looking for in this type of device. I also bought it's little brother and the pair seem to perfect. These are great tools , SOG has done a better job with their design and uses. Hope this helps.

No regrets
First I was hesitant to purchase this tool, despite of the bad review on multitool forums, I carry on.Functionality wise, you can’t beat the 21 tools in it. For practicality you can do everything like a Surge can do, like cutting thick gauge wire is an ease, the lack of having the convenience of a scissors in which you can also do with the sharp blade. Innovation are superb. I am an aircraft line mechanic so screw bit changing for various aircraft models is a breeze. For the quality of material, I believe it is made from galvanize steel. I am still in the process of beating this bad boy. So far it won’t let me down. Before there was Leatherman Free P4, there was sog a balisong like accessing the plier, and it isn’t magnetic so no worries of metal fillings accumulation. Plus you won’t knock your finger opening this, like the one I saw on youtube.Downside is the accessing the middle tools, such as the can opener, even if you unlatched the lock mechanism it is still hard to pry it out. But I’ll be use to it. The importance is that I have The most tools that I need in my waist, without coming back and fort to my toolbox.I say the price is reasonable for the innovations that it offers. If i am going to choose between a gerber and a sog, definitely I will go with the sog.Edit update tip: do you know you can slightly loosen the torx screw holding the tools? Viola 100 percent one hand operation! Tools will drop automatically when you release the locking mechanism, from there you can choose the tools by your thumb.
