NOT FOR A LAYMAN
This item comes with an audio cassette player, a USB cable to connect with computer (to transport the audio signal to the PC), headphones, a CD containing the software (to convert audio signal into MP3 format) and a user manual. All items were perfect. Following the instructions, I installed the software into my PC, inserted an audio cassette into the player, adjusted the recording and playback volumes on the screen as well as on the player and started converting. On completion, I exported the newly created MP3 file and saved in the PC. All steps were done according to the instructions. Everything went well. But when I tried to play back the MP3 file just now created by me, THERE WAS ON SOUND AT ALL !!!! :( :(I tried different combinations, tried all the instructions, even sought advice from couple of guys.....but the result was always same. THERE WAS ON SOUND. I tried to return the item, but they wont pay back the money. They will send me another piece!!! So, this item is currently being used as an ordinary audio cassette player. Thanks.

A unique product in these days
I was in search of cassette player for recording my old cassette in wave format. This gadget is plug and play on mac. I used it through usb cable and it connected without any drivers. I recorded my cassette without any problem and the quality is superb. Hence I am giving full stars.

This is a Mono cassette player and not stereo. The claim on the player is false.
This is a Mono cassette player and not stereo. Do not buy.

Not working, costly, cheating price
Not working. When I record I hear only screeching noise. Bad product and the item is too costly. There are other sellers who are selling the same item at reduced price. Kindly beware of such sellers. Don't be fooled.

Not Happy
The product arrived but was clearly not brand new. It was used as it had scratches all over it and a loose cassette cartridge indicating previous use.

FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK WITH MY MAC!
I would have give more stars except for all the problems I had. The device itself works. I connected it to a better set of earphones and it played beautifully. HOWEVER - I ran into 2 major issues with my Mac running El Capitan. First, the software suggested to run this device on is Audacity. The device comes with a small 3" CD with Audacity on it. DON'T PUT IT IN YOUR COMPUTER. WILL NOT WORK! I had Audacity in the past and it stopped working when El Capitan was installed. I tried to install it several times and it showed the icon but would not launch. So there's that problem. The next issue was more important. My Mac did not recognize the device itself. I read online that it could be an issue with the USB connection in that some of the "less expensive" devices may have USB issues. So I swapped the USB cable that came with the device for another one I had from another device that was exact. Still no recognition. Then I remembered I had an external USB port - you know- the kind you plug into your USB port to give you additional USB ports. Mine had 3 additional. I plugged the device into one of the 3 and voila!!! IT WORKED! MY MAC SAW IT! Then I used Garage Band instead of Audacity and set the input to USB PnP Audio Device. BEAUTIFUL - IT WORKS! AND JUST BEFORE I WAS ABOUT TO PULL THE LAST HAIR OUT OF MY HEAD!HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE!

Feels cheaply made but works well.
It feels cheaply made and the buttons are a bit delicate but it does what it says it does. I was able to save my grandma's voice from her answering machine tape. That is what makes it all worth it.

Motor doesn’t hold constant speed
The drive motor doesn’t hold a constant speed. After a coupe of copies had to keep the head and drives clean. Could have been the old tapes. Who has news.
