Use carefully
Okay at first, but i managed to let the bolts an the large hooks get bound, causing the bolt thread to get mangled when i took it off.

Did the job
Like the subject line says, it works just fine since the springs on my car didn't kill me when I removed them. Don't know if I'll ever use the spring compressor again, but for the minimal cost it was a very worthwhile expenditure. It ended up saving me hundreds of dollars compared to what automotive shops were going to charge me.

Now 'Assembled in USA with components of China and USA'
Just got this sucker from Amazon, and it's headed back. It's not 'Made in the USA' at all. There is a white peel-off label under the plastic that states, "Assembled in USA with components of China and USA." I guess they quit making it here. ("Assembled" could mean as little as someone screwing bolts together.) I also just noticed that Amazon quit selling it themselves. They were out of stock right before I ordered, so I guess I got a new batch.I don't trust my life to third-world metallurgy. Does anyone know where a good USA made Spring Compressor can be purchased besides used from Ebay?

super strong tools and safe to used it
i used everyday and i see no wear of deterioration in any way is a heavy duty tool to recommend for light weight automobiles

great tool
Used on a 2001 honda crv for all (4) struts. Worked great didn't break and I used an impact wrench.
