Yes it does close. But my mask broke. The valve under the chin failed and water started coming in. I returned it.

Is a gopro the only attachable camera? i have an insta360 x2 i would like to use instead.

Gopro attachment comes with purchase. Other mounted cameras? Do not know that answer.
