The swarm ender
So there I was sitting in the basement on my night off from work. Submersed in the shopping on Amazon. Trying my best to not be eaten alive by the fruit flys of spring/summer. Swatting every few seconds trying to be able to breathe in without inhaling the next swarm surely to attack at any second. Wondering why they were there. There is no food in my basement but my garage door open quite a bit so they are just sitting there waiting at the opportunity to invite themselves in. When there it was it this beautiful creation. I quickly ordered it with an arrival date two days from clicking the place order button. Fortunately I had to work the next two nights. I strategically planned my upcoming battle. Where would I place it? Where would my enemy most likely fall for its bright purple beauty? Would this be my ultimate weapon to change the outcome from suffering to victory? On day two I woke up from my slumber with a notification saying this had been delivered. I rushed to the front door, grabbed the box, opened it up and went to go down stairs to plug it in when…. OH NO!!!!! It’s still daylight. I impatiently waited for the sun to set over the horizon walked down my stairs flipped on the light switch to my man cave and plugged it in. Walked over to the light switch and said “Bravo 6 going dark” as I sent my basement into the darkness ready for the battle to come. I looked up to see how bright this thing really is. I walked over to my computer and sat down. When BANG!!! I heard the first of my enemies fall for it’s beauty. It was semi loud so it startled me. I chuckled as I heard a few more flys meet their demise. When they decided to rush the battlefield with all their troops. It sounded like the 4th of July with all the snaps and crackles constantly going off. After about 20 minutes, the blasts began to slow. Was this it? Had I finally emerged victorious? The answer to that question lies within the bottom of the trap. With the ease of a quick turn I pulled the convenient cleaning tray out of the bottom to see flies lying in the bottom. Never to bother me again. I highly recommend this product to anyone facing a swarm of insects. It was well worth the money.

This is a killing machine!!!
I live out in the country and so have plenty of insects. They fly in whenever you open the door. Springtime is gnat season. This season is the worst I've seen. They are very small and fast and love to fly in your face. This year I declared war. I don't have any outlets that aren't covered by furniture so plug-ins were out. I got 2 bug zappers that screw in lamps but the lampshades covered the UV lights so I returned them. Then I did extensive research on the corded ones I could set on a table. I settled on this one. This is why. A standard UV globe (glows blue) in a bug zapper is most effective on flying insects such as moths and flying ants, and to a lesser extent, flies and mosquitoes. A black UV globe (glows violet) is attractive to biting insects such as mosquitoes, sandflies & midges in addition to flies and other light sensitive insects like my gnats. So it arrived yesterday and I plugged it in beside my recliner. It went to work. Within 3 hours it killed 15 gnats. The zapping is loud when it kills one but otherwise is quiet. I had it right beside me so I jumped everytime it zapped but that told me it was working so the zap sound was worth it. I figure I'll move it further away today so I won't jump everytime it zaps. I have 4 cats and only one was scared of the zapping. I emptied the trap this morning. It was easy to clean. There is no smell. The light is pretty. I am very happy with my choice.

Powerful and Truly Waterproof Bug Zapper - Kills Everything That Flies (and Makes Noise Doing It!)
I've been using the Buzbug LED Bug Zapper for a little while now, and I'm seriously impressed (and a little surprised) by how effective it is. This thing doesn't discriminate! It zaps mosquitoes and flies like a champ, but it also seems to take out any other flying critters that get too close. So, if you're dealing with a wide range of flying insects, this will definitely do the trick. Be warned though, you will definitely hear it working – the zaps can be quite loud! The setup was super easy – just plug it in and you're good to go. I can also confirm that the IPX4 waterproof rating is accurate. I accidentally left it out during a downpour, and it continued to work perfectly afterwards without any issues whatsoever. The build quality seems solid, and while I can't vouch for the full 10-year lifespan claim just yet, it feels like it will hold up well.My only other minor gripe is that the 6.5ft power cord is a little on the shorter side. Depending on where you want to place it, you might need an extension cord. However, if your main goal is to eliminate flying insects, the Buzbug is a powerful and weather-resistant tool.Pros:Extremely effective at zapping a wide variety of flying insectsEasy to set up and useAppears to be well-built and durableTruly waterproof (IPX4 tested in a downpour!)Cons:Can be quite loud when it zaps a bugPower cord could be a bit longerMay kill beneficial insects as wellOverall, if you need serious flying insect control and aren't bothered by the noise, the Buzbug gets the job done, rain or shine! Just keep in mind it doesn't seem to be selective about its targets.

Bugs love it to death!!
I had a terrible neighbor in the apartment below me. When they were evicted and the apartment was opened it was a FOG of fruit flies. Even after the bug bombed the apartment fruit flies are still showing up in large numbers in my apartment once the weather heats up. I've tried everything. Finally bought this item and placedit on the floor on a paper plate. It's popping hundreds of them everyday! They no longer land on me! At first the "pop" sound startled me since it's louder than I expected but I'm used to it now. It's definitely wiping out the fruit flies! It is definitely the main attraction for the bugs...myself and my counter tops used to be. Definitely recommend this great product! What a relief!
