Love this grabber tool and bought it [probably] for an unconventional purpose. I walk multi-use trails in my neighborhood, and although lovely, could not help but notice stray garbage. Therefore, I started ending walks manually picking up a piece of garage here and there. But . . . more walks and I started to think that I could do better picking up more trash. So, I bought this grabber tool. Wow, this thing has allowed me to pick up plastic, glass [whole pieces and broken pieces] aluminum cans, pieces paper, you name it, and hopefully. . . help make the trail in my area more aesthetically pleasing BUT moreover, safer for all the deer, squirrels and other animals that so beautifully roam. The only minus of this tool is that it is made to collapse in half, and that said, the middle part that collapses is just this small internal plastic tubing piece -- it was a bit awkward to collapse and I was worried it would break, thus, since it's so small and light, I just keep it extended now.

My office is on a busy street, so we get our fair share of trash discarded by passing traffic. After years of regularly picking up the litter by hand, I recently decided to get an extended-reach grabber. Even with the high # of good reviews, I was doubtful this reasonably priced item would be good. I have only used it one time thus far, but I must say I am pleasantly surprised. It is well made enough to fairly easily pick up a variety of different sized items. The trigger and the jaws grab firmly enough to easily pick up the items and hold them till you discard them in a trash bag. The biggest surprise for me was how much dexterity they have at picking up even small items (scraps of paper, cigarette butts, etc.). And the jaw can rotate 90 degrees to change their orientation from side to side grabbing to top to bottom grabbing. We'll see how durable this item is over time but thus far, I'm very pleased.

A very good grabber, I was able to pick up a dropped pill from the floor! it has a really firm grip, no worries about dropping moderately heavy items. This is a keeper, who knows when I'll need it again as I get older.

Works well

I had recent hernia surgery and bought this grabber to avoid painful bending and twisting. It is exactly what I needed. To give you an idea, I was able to to pick up the following items: pill container top, pen, AA battery, knife/spoon,paper, tissues. tissue from a box of tissues, book, magazine. Used it to adjust blanket down by my feet. I also successfully used it on a drinking glass, and the rubber grips held securely. It is light and came assembled. No idea how it will hold up over time, but for now it is perfect. So much benefit for a small investment.

just what I needed.. to get things that have fallen behind the freezer

So thankful for this wonderful invention. At 70, it’s hard and unsafe for me to use step stools or ladder. But this sturdy, perfectly made, easy to grip and use, is the best invention to get things from high places.

This tool I thought was to short. I went to return it. Days later I needed a bowl out of my cabinet. I was able to use this tool. I decided to keep this one in the home. Ordering a much longer one
