is this filter bacteriostatic?

We reduce bacteria and other microbiologic contamination through microscopic mechanical filtration and adsorption. We do not add anything to the water to make it bacteriostatic. Best regards, Larry

How long is this filter good for?

I change my filter every 6-8 months depending on usage.

My seagull iv filter takes purestone tp-1n cartridge. this one replaces tp-1. what is the difference between tp-1 and tp-1n?

Nothing really other than branding the newer model I believe. I can tell you that our AWS-1 is a direct replacement for both with far superior test results. I
