DEWALT 20V MAX XR Oscillating tool (DCS356C1)
I’m all in on the DeWalt 20V MAX XR line of battery-operated tools—I’ve got both the Oscillating Tool (DCS356C1) and the Cordless Drill/Driver (DCS356C1), and I can’t recommend them enough. These are pro-grade performers through and through, with battery life that keeps up and power that tackles just about any DIY home project I’ve thrown their way.The catch? Replacement batteries aren’t cheap. That said, they hold a charge like champs and deliver more than enough juice for the job, so I can’t complain too much. My one nitpick is the weight—both tools, especially the drill, are a touch heavier than I’d hoped. But honestly? It’s not a dealbreaker. The brushless motors, crisp controls, and overall build quality blow every other cordless tool I’ve used out of the water. No stars off here—these are worth every penny.

High quality multi-purpose oscillating tool. Worth the price
Several years ago, I purchased a very inexpensive off-brand tool and used it only occasionally. Well, on this last project, we needed to use it quite a bit and it just didn't hold up (batteries died quickly, power was inadequate, etc.). So, we purchased the Dewalt (since all my other 20V tools are Dewalt). This stands up to the Dewalt reputation. It held up for the rest of the job. We were cutting through old work wall board (much tougher than newer drywall). I know some might argue Team Red tools are better - my experience is the both are solid, reliable, and long-lasting. Just when you pick one set of batteries, it makes sense to stay the course.

Excellent buy
Handy tool that works great. Switching blades is super easy. The three speeds are nice and it's easy to use. Overall value was excellent since it came with the battery and charger.

Awesome tool at a good price.
My old no-brand name oscillating tool died mid project and while shopping I found this one that fits right into my current DeWalt tool collection with the bonus of using the same battery. The tool is well balanced, powerful and is designed to be used one handed. I found that the LED head lights make it easy to see and therefore, make more accurate cuts.

Its dewalt - like everything dewalt you can count on quality, dependability
Many of the oscillating multitools require a chuck to change blades. Less reliable more expensive alternatives don’t include the battery, or charger, or bag! I really wanted to stay with current brand tools (traditionally cheaper) but this was a much better tool for less. This dewalt tool has a quick release lever to release the blade. Additionally, this design holds the blade tightly and won’t strip the pins that secure the blade which has happened in previous corded and battery brands I have used. It’s ready to go (charge it) out of the box-portable and versatile where you need it without the extension cord. I have used it to trim aluminum, cut outs for electrical and other custom fit type cuts, detail sanding, easily cut through framing nails, remove exterior gooey caulk. Trim tile. With the right blades, you can do anything.

Good Tool
Works well. Good product for the money. There was a downside that happened to me. It was my own fault I will admit because I accidently installed a scraper blade upside down and started using the tool. This caused the blade to contact the front edge of the release lever hinge. I caught my mistake befor it ruined the unit completely. Over all a great quality tool.

Well made saw
This is a great tool that works well especially being cordless. Battery life is good and lasts for several jobs.

Dewalt oscillating kit. Total control. Outstanding tool.
I previously had an oscillating tool. It was 110v, too heavy, too fast, horrible vibrations and difficult to use. I barely used it. My wife bought me this on sale, cheap for Dewalt. This new 20v Max has the best trigger control of just about all of my tools. Because of that, you can do many things with it. I’m a hobbyist and being able to slow it down enough to cut soft materials like foam, balsa, styrene and basswood is amazing. I didn’t know it was going to be such a valuable tool. It works just as well with a bi-metal blade to cut metal at high speed. I also have a hook & loop sanding pad for it.Quick change blade feature is great, make sure you buy blades with the slot. In them. The end of the shaft it threaded so you can attach things like the sanding pad. Amazon had this deal for under $100. A bargain at any price!
