I have had my Bose SoundLinkMini for over 10 years. The sound is outstanding. It started not holding power, unexpectedly turned off when it was charged &/or was on the charger, intermittently would not charge when on the charger, etc. Researching it could be the base charger or the battery. I thought of replacing the whole unit but comments stated the newer models did not have the same great sound.I am so happy I got this battery. It is easy to install. I charged it for a day before using it and all the problems I was having with the unit are gone. I have the great sound back. I have had it off the charger for over a week and it is still playing. I highly recommend this particular battery.

I thought I found a cure to keep my soundlink going. Easy to replace. The battery didn’t hold the same power as original. Then it wouldn’t hold a charge even knowing it showed fully charged. Soundlink would just turn off. Even when charging cable was in, it still wouldn’t work.

For SoundLink mini (v1). First battery received put the speaker into flashing red light. Wasn't sure if it was the battery or the speaker had died. Requested a replacement battery, received it fairly quickly - that unit worked on install. Took maybe 2 hours to charge fully, everything is working. Receiving a doa unit isn't great, replacement was without issue, but I do have to drop the defective one off sometime which is mildly annoying. This is 3rd battery for the speaker in about 10 years (original lasted until about 3 years ago, see if this one will go another 3).

Bose no longer sells the battery for the original mini. We should get 10 more years with this new battery. $25 fix vs a new mini at $179.

I can start with 5 stars.It fit correctly and was easy to change.Took the charge.It seems to charge better than the old one it is replacing.(Now we need to see if it lasts.)To be able to continue to use this great sounding speaker I've had for years is exciting.Even if it only lasts half as long as the last one it would be worth it.Quick update: appears to hold charge. Still happy.

Unfortunately did not fix the issue. Ended up having to return.

Leaving this review for others who have the Bose Mini SoudLink Series 1 who are trying to decide if they want to replace the battery or the unit. Looking at the reviews this was a tough call. Almost didn't purchase this battery, but am glad I did. Arrived in 2 days and had my Bose running tip top again in just a few minutes. For those asking themselves whether they should purchase a new battery, make sure that your issue is indeed a battery issue (i.e. your old battery still works but its run time has gone from 8 hours to something much less), but otherwise your Bose is still working fine. If this is the case, then this battery is probably for you. If your unit fails to turn on or blinks red without reason, then you may look into purchasing a new unit. You may have another issue such as a controller, etc.
