I love mine!
Great price, have used the same ones before, very efficient and durable! This was a replacement for an older one! I like them!

The bugs die but the Flowtron doesn't
I live in Florida in a wooded area next to a marsh. We have mosquitos and no-see-ums, flying ants, and other bugs. The flying ants seem to be attracted by light. They are small enough to get through the window screens and any small openings around the doors or windows. They come in June and have invaded my house from time to time. It is now 2024. Back in 2018, I bought the very large 2-acre coverage Flowtron Bug Zapper. I hope that by keeping the house dark and having a very bright light away from the house, the ants would stay away. It worked. I have had no flying ant problems since installing the bug zapper. There seem to be fewer mosquitos too. In 2018, I set up the 2-acre bug zapper on the porch of a shed. The shed had a small overhanging roof. I attached it to a light sensor that turned on the light at dusk and turned it off at dawn. It ran every night from June 2018 to Fall 2023, surviving a hurricane, many heavy Florida thunderstorms, and the daily heat & humidity of Florida. There are not as many bugs in the winter, so I did not replace it until May. This time I choose the smaller 1-acre zapper. When I plugged it in, it didn't work. I finally figured out that the dusk/dawn sensor was broken. I replaced that and found out that the 2-acre zapper was also still working. So now both are up and running. The bad side is that these zappers needlessly kill a lot of moths / The good side is the zapped bugs fall on the deck, and each morning at sunrise, birds come and eat BBQ bugs. / If I were to do this again, I would buy two 1-acre zappers instead of the one 2-acre bug zapper.

Zap
This thing works great. The outside is plastic but I have not had an issue with that. Mosquitos were bad this year and just kept hearing them get fried.Definitely does the job, but dont be too close when its running , the zapping and popping of evil skeeterscan get quite loud.

This is the best zapper I have used yet.
This is the best zapper I have used yet. I bought one, and was so impressed that I bought two more for my sons at their houses. Really helped with the night bugs and mosquitos, We couldn't make up our minds if the mosquito bait helped or not. It didn't stop crackling for several hours after turning it on, and there was hardly any pests left. Wish it worked better on gnats, It gets a lot of them, but not all. Also, I wish they had a bait to draw cluster flies into it.

So satisfying!
i love the little zap noise and sparkle when a bug gets hit. Fun to watch the snap, crackle and pop on a busy night! I never even used the included attractant - the light seemed to be enticement enough. The protective cage around the bulbs can become clogged and it needs to be cleaned out periodically. I just used my electric blower gently and that seems to work. I hang this outside my horse barn during mosquito season and set it on a timer. I am happy with this zapper and will likely buy one for my back yard next bug season!

Easy to use, reduces bug problem
I've had a couple of kinds of expensive machines that require propane tanks and are prone to needing repairs, so I decided to try these bug zappers. They seem to cut down on the mosquito population and they're inexpensive compared to the fancy machines. I have a large property, so I have 3 of them up. It's impossible to eliminate all the mosquitos in this area, but they help, and the difference in what it takes to maintain them is why I'll continue with them.
