Why doesn't my 2007 audi q7 recognize these as being valid? i still get a bulb out warning after installing them for the day time running lights.

This bulb WILL cause Hyperflashing and Error Code, solution is to install a "load equalizer", which means you will have to modify your car existing wiring to install this load equalizer, I do not recommend these bulbs, there are many non-branded LED bulbs on the market that are already balanced to avoid this at 1/5 of the price.

Will this work on Positive ground Systems

I do not believe that they will. There are even issues installing them in older negative ground systems. The electrical resistance is lower than an incandescent bulb which sometimes requires the installation of an additional resistor in the circuit. I would consult the manufacturer.
