Can the band be resized

Yes, quite easily. I purchased a watch repair kit which was inexpensive here on Amazon and it was so worth the money, I have used it multiple times and I would recommend buying one. I have also resized many times without the kit but it sure was easier with it.

Has anyone successfully replaced the battery? How do you do this? What size is the battery?

The battery has been changed, there is a place at our mall, Quik Fix Shop. I don't know the size of the battery but the clerk did have a hard time changing it. I still love the watch, good luck.
