i have washed mine once, cold water and low heat dry, didn’t seem to have any issue afterwards.

No, these pillows are insanely puffy/firm and not squishy at all. I’m also a side sleeper and my head doesn’t even make a dent in this pillow. The pillow kept my neck at such an awkward angle that I couldn’t make it past two nights on it. The neck pain was unbearable. I passed it to my husband and he had the same issue. Then I gave it to my daughter and she didn’t make it past two nights either. It’s like a rock in the middle with pillow fluff around it.
