honda crv 2012_ 2016 roof bars
ordered for my 2013 crv they came very eariy and well packed , upon opening the bars were already constructed with a bag of fixings for the car . no instructions come with bars so I will leave instructions. 1 unpack bars . 2 the bars are of different lengths the smaller one 90 cm ish goes at the rear. the longer one 104 cm goes at the front 3 on the supports they are marked L for left R for right of car 4. take out plugs on inside of rail x8 5. turn bar over and loosen two allen bolts ( only loosen don't remove) 6. locate bar on roof and insert allen bolts and washer through support and into side of rail on left side 7. go to right side and do the same again on this side 8. now do up the allen bolts that you loosened (they are awkward but take your time it can be done as this side is for adjustment) 9. now do the same with the front one. 10. stand back and be amazed at how good they look . at one third the price of honda bars these look, have the same markings and the same look of honda genuine ones . I hope these instructions help anyone who is looking to purchase a set of bars for a crv . by the way these bars are for factory closed roof rails only.

Easy to fit, quiet, hard to tie down
Installation is no problem but a bit fiddly. Something to stand on to reach helps.No additional noticeable noise at 70 mph.The down side is that there is no where to get a side on rope tie without modifying the bars.

Easy to install, solid and decent quality.The washers have started to rust though, better quality washers would be good.

Very happy with these roof bars and they fit my 2014 CRV perfectly. They came on time appear well made and easy if not just a little fiddly to fit. Some have said there is no instructions but mine did come with fitting instructions. There is the get out of jail free statment that they must be fitted by a qualified fitter and I am a retired fitter with loads of tools. The instructions do say to torque the bolts holding it to the roof to 10NM which is quite low and may be out of the range of many peoples torque wrenches. Other than that well recommended.
