Overall, this is a nice lego set. The instructions are pretty good for the most part. There are a few places where they just show a bunch of parts you need, and then a diagram of what it should look like once the parts are on, but no arrows showing where things go. Generally not a big deal as the diagrams are pretty good and allow you to progress at a nice pace. I only had to go to the youtubes once for clarification on one particular assembly.My kit was missing one part, but Lego's excellent website and customer service got the missing brick on it's way pretty quickly.In short, I do recommend this kit. It is fun and challenging and looks great. If you're a Star Wars fan, I think you will like the end result. I also bought a 3rd party lighting and sound kit that I am eventually going to install.

Nice little model but a bit expensive. You have to have this if you are a Star Wars fan. As usual with Lego the instructions are superb and no missing pieces except the decal for the base piece. I’m not displaying the base so no problem.

Package arrived on time in perfect condition. Wasted no time to get started assembling. So far no pieces at missing like usual with Lego. Fun little model to build.

Look If you love Lego and Love star wars then this is a no brainer buy for your Lego collection. the model is excellently thought out buy the Lego designer and has some very cool features like Luke's lightsaber inside the top of R2 D2's head like in the movie Return of the Jedi also you can find R2's interface probe and claw hand inside his chest. the Head does fully move and the middle foot can go inside his body for a two leg display. yeah I think its fully worth the asking Price of 250 dollars the build is very fun to build.

This was a very fun build. It took me probably 8 hours total to build it (going at a leisurely pace and split over a few day). The arms aren’t as sturdy as I would have liked and if you are adding a lighting kit be sure you aren’t displaying it on a glass surface. When lit the colored insides show in the reflection. Mine came missing the sticker for the plaque but I reached out to lego and they sent me a replacement free of charge. Overall this was a solid purchase and will make for a good display piece.

We bought this for our daughter's 23rd birthday and she was so excited. She has built other Star Wars Lego projects so she was able to navigate the instructions with only a couple goof ups that she had to redo. The R2 is bigger than the other things she has done and at 2,000+ pieces there's a lot of steps. She couldn't put it down and so she was done after a couple of LONG nights. It's pretty spendy for a box of teensy plastic bricks but the look on her face was well worth it. The level of detail is really impressive on it.Now we have to find a place to keep him...

Do you like Lego? Do you like Star Wars? If you answered "yes" to both those, then don't hesitate and purchase this set! Not only is it a good challenge, the technical aspects of how it works is amazing! I'm blown away at how R2's extra leg comes out, the build is simply astounding!
