Pro-TecClassic Certified Skate Helmet

Only brand I'd consider for open face helmets. Only gotten better over time. Comfortable, well built, and between the padding, shell, and excellent chin strap it would be hard to find a better value. Not going to find a better helmet for bmx, skate, or other sports.

I have used a "normal" high dollar bicycle helmet for years. My last one finally needed replacing,so I started looking around. I came across the Pro-Tec bicycle helmet and read some reviews. Most seemed to like it, but I wasn't convinced. I am more of a bicycle long distance tourer and this seemed more a mountain bike helmet.The surprises for me after I purchased this helmet were;1; The immediate feel of security compared to the high dollar helmets I was used to.2. The amount of air that was directed through the small holes in front of the helmet.3. Much easier to adjust for a good fit.I also like the color white. I started wearing only white shirts after about my second cross country ride because they seem to stand out better. The white helmet just adds to that visibility.I'll never go back to spending $100.00 for a helmet after using this one.

We got this for even cheaper because it looks to have been returned to Amazon. It is a great helmet and my son loves it. White color is easy to see in daylight and in darkness.

I bought this because I do not like the cray styles of some other bike type helmets. I use this when I rid my bike, I don't skate. it is very comfortable and I can put my head light on it very easily. Vents on top keep you cooler than a ball cap which is what I used to use. I am very happy with this and enjoy using it. Mine is white to help keep me cool and keep me visible. I ride early mornings or late at night when there is low traffic so I want to be visible.

I love this helmet: it's functional, it looks great, and it didn't break the bank. After using it for a few weeks now, I have to say I'm very pleased with it.My only issue with it is that it seems to come down a bit short on the sides of my head. There is a pretty large gap between my ear and the ear cutout on the side of the helmet. This doesn't affect the functionality of the helmet, but it does look a little silly. I should say, however, that I'm 6' 5", and I'm sure that my size is mostly why the helmet fits a bit off. I think it's safe to assume that the XL would fit most people perfectly.

Unlike bicycle helmets, this multiple impact helmet does not have to be discarded after you drop it or bump into a door frame etc. I accidentally dropped this as soon as I unpacked it, and I did not have to be concerned about that. Single impact bike helmets are not good because everyone drops them and continues to use them, despite that being a risk. Therefore this class of helmet, designed for skaters who deliberately fall all day long, makes more sense.

Got this for my 6 year old son (yes, he has a big head) and it fits great. Pro-Tec has been around since I was a teenager and I've always been happy with their products. The shell is a great design and build, pads and straps can be replaced/upgraded according to preference and or style.

I ordered thru Amazon so delivery was quick and free! Helmet is solid, fits perfectly, is comfortable. I crashed my bike on a mountain trail and the helmet took the brunt of the force. I am unscathed and after cleaning off the scuffs, it is good as new!
