Big Game Hunter
(Father)We enjoy playing the game together. Lots of fun.(Son)It's really fun. It's a challanging game. You have to find clues to where the animals are too. At the end of every level there's a predator that is trying to get you. You will enjoy it. I like the selection of different guns.

11 yr old bought with birthday money
My son had played this game at his cousin's when it first came out. He finally decided to get his own using his birthday money. He loves realness of the situations. We are a hunting family, so we know how wildlife reacts to human presence. It is the same with this game. So much so, that my son has said his pulse actually races in some situations! The graphics are great as well. I just wish we could harvest the meat! ;0)

Grandsons aged 6 and 9 love it; I can bearly tear them away. Lots of different animals and terrain. Lots of action. Well worth the money.

The game itself is lacking in several key areas. However the 3 star rating applies to the price and the quality of the product all of which were flawless! If the review was based on just those two factors it would be 5 stars. Sadly the game prevents that from happening.

Great game but more is to be desired
Although you can still use the Top Shot Elite Gun for this game, I would suggest not doing so because it is extremely difficult and annoying. Here are the controls with that gun:CONTROLS:Fire - Z (Good)Check Animal Signs - C (I'd rather crouch with C)Reload - A (Not B! - Not cool!)Hunter Sence, turn gun 90 degree (Stupidest thing ever)Show guide points that lead you toward the animal you are hunting - C+turn gun 90 degree (C + Stupidest thing ever)Switch guns - L or R on DPad (I can deal with that)Crouch - C+down on analog nunchuck (Should just be C)Aim (Zoom) - Hold B (Are you kidding me?!?! This should be for reload only!!!)Change target, C+L or R on analog nunchuck (So, while aiming (holding back B), I have to hold C and somehow get my left thumb to the D-pad?!?! Forget that!)As horrible as these controls are, you can't customize them, the game should give you that option but doesn't. I suggest just sticking with the simpler Wiimote + nunchuck style of playing this game.GRAPHICS, ACTION and PLAYING THE GAME:The graphics are okay but are not as crisp as the 2012 game. You hunt alone, there is nobody else you have to compete against. The hunter in the game moves very slow (even slower when crouching) and makes noise with each and every step which gets even louder when he walks over tree branch piles and through water streams. All noises can alert the animals and will scare them off (if severe enough to give away your location). I find these to be minor annoyances. There are blue-colored hunting spots around the area of the animals that you are hunting with percentages on them which give you bonus points if you are standing or crouching in them when you have killed and tagged the animal you hunt. There are no shooting rests or blinds to hide behind but plenty of tree, tall grass and boulder cover to keep you hidden as you try to maneuver to where you want to shoot from. You are given some additional challenges on few of the hunts but they aren't necessary to advance and complete the game. To advance and complete the game, you should make an attempt to get metals (Gold, Silver and Bronze) on every hunt.Overall, this is a fun game and I would recommend buying it for not more than $20. I got it for just under $5 and enjoy it.
