My youngest wanted a "4" Batman figure" and this fit the bill.However, I apparently have to use more words for this to post.There.

Good thing it's for my son.
I gave this a 3 star review because of how bad the packaging was on delivery. If this had been for a collector, they would have been upset. The package was bent up and look to have minor water damage. The toy is fine so my son won't care, but as a warning for anybody who collects figurines.

HUGE downgrade from the dark knight basic figures
"The Dark Knight" basic figure line could bend at the elbows and knees and move arms and legs back and forth. They were also about five inches tall. "The Dark Knight Rises" basic figures are more or less as tall as the "Star Wars" movie figures and they have much less articulation. i gave these figures two stars because,hey, it's Batman. And two, it has a real cloth cape. just buy the movie masters figures instead- great for play and collecting.

Nothing special
Nothing special about this. It is small action figure and it will be great for batman fans or children with great imaginations. I paid under $4 so I think I got what I paid for.

Great sculpt and paint, but just for playing
This is Batman as seen in the movie The Dark Knight Rises. I got this figure to stand side-by-side with the Batman from the Multiverse "Adult Collector" line. Sculpt and paint wise, this figure is impressive, but severely lacks articulation. For ~$4 in a discount store, it's OK.The head and body sculpts of this figure are really good, showing great resemblance to the movie character. In particular, the armor is very well detailed.The paint of the head is precise, with no run-off on the skin or the eyes. The skin tone is ok. The paint of the body is black, with a dark gold belt and glossy black on the bat symbol.The articulation of this figure is just bare bone:- swivel head, swivel shoulders, swivel hips and hinged kneesI don't overstate that this figure lacks articulation, but it was intended for kids to play with.This figure includes a big grapple gun, fabric cape and a huge batarang.Over all, this figure looks really good, but the limited articulation would kill this figure for collectors unless you want him just standing. However, I highly recommend it for kids.
