2020 Silverado with the 6.2
I had this installed on my 2020 Silverado with the 6.2. I put this same muffler on my 2019 Suburban with the 5.3 and the sound was perfect. At my age, I cant stand loud. I want that little rumble on start up, and that magnaflow sound when I put my foot in it and that's it. No drone at highway speeds, no waking up the neighbors at 4am, just a truck sounds like a truck. This muffler gives me all of that.My 6.2 Silverado has the flappers before and after the muffler and the 2 resonators at the rear of the truck. I left all of that in. Should have had the flappers cut out because its not much louder over stock other than when im gassing on it, but thats ok. I still feel that low end torque improvement immediately.I will say that the original exhaust is 3.5" but the inlet and outlet coming out of the muffler is 3". So, this muffler fit perfect. If you wanted to go with the 3.5" inlet and outlet you would have to buy item # 12909 which is roughly $40 more and you would have to cut off both flappers. At 58 y/o, I've tried all the other name brands but magnaflow has never disappointed me with the performance and sound. I hope this info helps someone!

Perfect for 20/21 Silverado 6.2
This is for all you Chevy owners who bought a 20 or 21 Silverado with a 6.2. I have done some major experimenting on 2021 Silverado Trail Boss with the 6.2 starting with a 14" Magnaflow and flapper delete (came with only one). It was obnoxiously loud and had a terrible drone at highway speeds. I then put a 18" Magnaflow with the flapper back on and it was much better but still had a noticeable annoying drone at highway speeds. I finally installed a 22" Magnaflow (part #12589) without the flapper and it has a perfect tone and most importantly no drone at highway speeds. It sounds awesome at WOT! ***Total cost for all parts/labor at a reputable muffler shop near me was $495 which includes me keeping the 18" Magnaflow. Still significantly cheaper than any of the cat -back exhaust systems on the market. Hope this information is helpful!

Nice and quiet - Ford V10
Not loud at all, very mild, love it. So much better than a flowmaster

Gm 6.2 liter replacement
Installed at a local muffler shop in wife's 2017 Yukon 6.2 L. Easy install with competent techOnly needs a short piece of pipe to connect to OEM tail pipe. Sounds great, throaty on start and acceleration and still mild mannered at cruise. Definitely more cruise noise than stock but not obnoxious at all. Don't expect much power gains as stock muffler is also 3.5" but sound is what she wanted. I have AFM disabled so don't know about the helicopter sound in v4 mode.If you want a decent bump in sound without breaking the bank this is it. It's not corsa or borla sport loud but still very old school muscle car like. Doesn't sound like a newer camaro or corvette. Much deeper rumble with the big 6.2. It does take a while to break in so gets a little louder with age, she loves it

What I wanted for my Silverado
The media could not be loaded. Purchased this to replace the factory muffler on my 2003 Silverado with a 5.3 (LM7). Wanted a bit more performance (also adding a cam, CAI and tune) without much more noise. This fits the bill. Barely louder than stock at idle with a nice bass tone under acceleration. There is the slightest of drones if you really listen for it, but I'm pretty picky and like the sound.Added these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G95999F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to the order and the old muffler cut right out and this one fit right in it's place - about 1 hours work using 2 3" and 2 2.75" heavy duty exhaust clamps (will likely weld it up later).Magnaflow recommends the shorter one as a stock replacement, but if you want the performance without the added sound, I recommend this one.Video is stock muffler, no muffler, Magnaflow with a stock Chevy 5.3. The tone has "matured" a bit since installing (videos taken as I was doing the work) but still really close.

Good quality. Gets louder as you break it in
Good quality. Gets louder as you break it in, as does any muffler. Droning is not bad. But can become a bit annoying for the people sitting in the 3rd row.

installed on 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 with 6.2L
With minor modifications, this fits the factory exhaust on trucks with the 6.2L. Definitely have to know how to weld! Also need about 4' of 3-1/2 exhaust pipe. This way you can remove one of the bends that is necessary to make fit correctly with minimal effort. Muffler is still quiet. Do not expect to have a very loud exhaust. Sounds really good under wide open throttle. Still quiet when it's idling and cruising. No drone at all. Perfect for people who don't wanna make a ton of noise and piss off their neighbors.

Not for my truck
The drone noise will drive you crazy while towing
