Excellent for travel
Works fine here in the US. Planning to take it overseas later this year. Small and light and folds up; all good things.

Favorite Hair Dryer
This is a great hair dryer for home or travel. It is compact and folds nicely. I love that it is dual voltage allowing me to take it internationally when traveling. It works great and is very convenient for storage at home in my drawer and packing in a suitcase.

lightweight dryer, sent me wrong color
This Conair 1875 hair dryer dries well and is a better size for travel and although it doesn't look much smaller it actually is much better for packing and is more lightweight than my last dryer. It has almost as much drying power, too. As other reviewers had stated, it does snag occasional strands of long hair--ouch --I have to remember to hold it farther away than I did with my larger and heavier Conair dryer which is pictured beside it. But, it should be really good for short hair (my hair is just below my shoulders.) I ordered it in black, but gray was sent. (I even checked and I did order black.) The surface is kind of cheap looking, but it feels sturdy and solid. I kept the gray one and I've used it several weeks and as long as I remember to stretch my arm out a little farther, it works great. I've used it on a trip and I think it will be just fine until the hair it catches eventually binds up the fan. It was under $20 and I'm happy with the the size and weight.

Perfect travel size - don't expect salon quality.
Love this little hair dryer, it's literally travelled the world with me. It packs small for it's size and does a pretty ok job of drying hair when travelling. Is it a salon quality blow dryer or even large home quality, no. But, it's not trying to be that either. I managed to burn my last one up while in Scotland but, I had that one for many years.

Handy little hair dryer.
This does everything I need. Drys my hair quickly, has a Cool Shot button, doesn't take up much space (the handle even folds down). Like it enough to buy a second one for the guest bathroom.

Good power and size
Needed to replace large home hair dryer. This was perfect, and size is good for traveling.

Really quiet and light weight
Initially I was VERY pleased with this hair dryer. On the low setting it is VERY quiet. But now that I've had it about a month it has started making a high pitched whine on the low setting and although you don't hear it on the high setting, you hear it again when you shut it off and it's like winding down. If it was possible to oil something I would do so, but there is no way to do that. I'm going to have to buy another hair dryer.Updated!I was traveling for two months and left the hair dryer home. Upon return home it is working perfectly again. Nice and quiet. I only like to use the low heat setting and that is perfect for my short thin hair. My only explanation for why it is not whining now is perhaps in the factory they use some sort of oil and it takes time to permeate? I don't know, but I will update again if it starts making noise again.
