Highly recommend.
Wonderful book. Right now I am at page number 85. Even a layman like me was able to understand it.Will write in detail once I finish it.

A book for beginners.Worthy to read.
When I started reading this book, I had so many questions in my mind. I have never imagined that scholars/economists like Keynes, Marx, Smith to name a few had such a significant effect till this very day. I was mesmerized by the fact that nothing is extant if we keep economics out of fray. After reading this book, I have gained an affection of reading Economic Times Newspaper on a routine basis. One thing the author could have done better for this book, is by discussing the governmental policies of some major nations other than Britain and America. Still its a book worthy of reading and a must read for incipients like me.

Delivered on time. The book, I've read it before, is a very good intro to the sub prime crisis and what it portends.

Clear your basics.
Economics as a subject is dreaded by many due to multiple reasons. I enjoyed economics due to two professors first Prof. Bhate and Prof Deodhar. They made me love economics with their excellent teaching style.About this book ,i enjoyed reading since it has explained not only economics for a beginner but also shared lives of men like Marx, Smith , Ricardo and others. This is a must read for beginners and also if you one wants to start loving economics as a subject.I will refer this book for a graduate student in India so that he starts walking in the direction of economics which is one of the important subjects.Regards,Vinod Krishnan

Disappointing
Direction less. Neither good for starters or mid level economics enthusiasts..The format is neither story telling or text bookish..
