This Rockwell Sonicrafter Adapter Works Very Well!
This Rockwell Sonicrafter Adapter works very well with my original 13 year old Rockwell Sonicrafter Tool (Model#: RK5102K). This adapter is an OEM Rockwell part, and it comes in original Rockwell packaging. My Rockwell Sonicrafter still works and looks like new, and I use it very often. It is a great tool, however, the OEM Rockwell Sonicrafter blades are getting expensive and harder to find. To circumvent these issues, there are many high quality, and less expensive, aftermarket blades out there made for many oscillating tool brands. However, because of the proprietary hexagonal mounting nut on the Rockwell Sonicrafter, most of the "universal" aftermarket blades won't fit the tool. I guess Rockwell realized this and created this handy adapter that works great for the "universal" blades on the market. This Rockwell adapter is made of metal, and it mounts on the hexagonal nut of the Rockwell Sonicrafter Tool. The adapter has two magnets that (sort of) hold blade in place while the retaining bolt and washer are tightened over the blade. The adapter has little "nubs" on it that fit into the grooves of the universal blades to hold them in place, and keep them from slipping during use. This adapter holds the universal blades in place very well, and I have not needed to retighten the blade retaining bolt at all during heavy use. The little nubs on the adapter could be a little longer, in my opinion, but they seem to work well as they are.Part of the reason that the universal blades may work so well with my particular Rockwell Sonicrafter is that I upgraded the retaining bolt years ago to the newer style bolt with the 15/64" Allen head. The original retaining bolt only has a 3/16" Allen head, and it is hard to tighten down snuggly without stripping out the bolt head. It also wears out prematurely from constant use. The retaining bolt upgrade does the trick to hold the blades tighter, and prevent stripping of the Allen head. For those interested, the retaining bolt upgrade kit is Rockwell part#: RW9157. The upgrade kit includes the larger Allen head retaining bolt, a new blade retaining washer, and a larger 15/64" Allen wrench. Trust me, the upgraded retaining bolt makes a huge difference in how securely the Rockwell Sonicrafter holds the blades, and also extends the life of the Allen head in the bolt.I highly recommend this Rockwell universal blade adapter, especially when used in conjunction with the previously mentioned blade retaining bolt upgrade. This adapter works so well, I will be purchasing another one to have as a spare. The Rockwell Sonicrafter is a great tool, and it will last many years if treated with care.

Great price
I have an old Hitachi, which uses the old style oscillator blades hex head. This adapter allows me to use the newer blades on the market thanks guys. Great job.

Simple. Easy. Useful
This adapter brings my old Sonicrafter up to date, so that I can use attachments which utilize the more common and more widely available style. It fits over the hexagonal nut on my RK5102K, and easily adapts new accessories. The only thing is to make sure that the center screw is tightened down. It should be checked every few minutes of use, to be sure that it remains tight. If not, there's a chance that the little nubs on the adapter can become worn down too quickly.

good adapter
I have a very old Rockwell Sonicrafter that I still use frequently. This little adapter lets me use most of the available blades available today. I have a hard time finding blades that fit the old format, and this allows me a lot more access without buying a new tool.
