Hows the noise level? All of these generators say about the same but people always tend to say they're much louder or quieter than the rating.

At 25 ft, I can barely hear a low rumble from the generator over a window unit in a closed room. Standing next to it while running in either ECO or full power mode, I have to raise my voice a bit to talk to someone, but at 15-20 feet I can use my normal talking voice. My neighbor's house is about 150 feet away from where I had my generator running and she said she could hear a very low rumble inside her house with her windows open (I have a 6 foot wooden fence between us). For comparison, she says my other generator (older non inverter 4500 watt) sounds like a motorcycle on her back porch, so this inverter one is considerably quieter.

yes, you could run your furnace with this generator, but most furnaces are "hardwired" to the fuse panel, so you would need an electrician to wire in a pigtail to connect to.
