Great basic set, but the chasen could be improved
Overall, this matcha set is good for the price. My only issue is with the chasen. After 3 uses, the middle bristles started to fray and break despite pre-soaking and gentle pressure. The strainer is fantastic quality, though.

Attractive, sturdy, would make a nice gift set. I use this daily!
I love this product! I use it every single day now. If you’re a matcha expert you know what to do, and can see what’s included from the photos. The matcha itself and the almond milk in my photos are NOT included in this set. The ceremonial matcha was purchased in Amazon, and the milk was purchased locally. This is a nice gift set that’s packaged well. The whisk is in a nice little container (pictured) and it even comes with instructions. However - please note that while matcha mixes well with other ingredients, cows milk is not considered ideal, versus alternative milks like almond milk or other nut “milks”. It tastes great with the coconut almond milk I am using. I mention this because the instructions recommend adding milk when you’re done. Many do not mix with anything at all, but my stomach is a little sensitive. Also, note that you need to buy “ceremonial” matcha for making tea, not “cooking” matcha. The taste is different. In terms of function and looks, it’s quite attractive, sturdy, and easy to clean. The only potentially iffy thing is that the bottom of the scooper is getting a little stained, and I think this is because that part of the wood is not as smooth as the rest. Otherwise I’ve had no issues cleaning either the whisk or the scooper carefully with hot and cold water. The whisk needs to be dried in the holder, otherwise it may warp, but this is not product specific! It will happen with any bamboo whisk if not dried properly. Similarly, if you are unable to get the matcha “frothy” from whisking, this is not a product defect, but rather an indication that you have too much water (or too little matcha). Finally, which the instructions temperature recommendation is correct, note that because matcha is different than tea you steep, you don’t technically require a certain heat or any heat at all for it to have health benefits, though there are slightly more if you do heat it initially. But, you have options, and thus can use this to make green tea even if you don’t have working hot water at the time, or a way to measure the temperature of your water.

A Game-Changer for Matcha Lovers – High-Quality Kit with Everything You Need
I only recently started getting into Matcha, mainly because I could no longer justify the cost of my usual store-bought iced coffee. So, I turned to my Dream Mood Matcha stash and a sweetened matcha powder by Rishi. However, I quickly ran into a few problems:1. My matcha kept clumping.2. No matter how much I stirred, I couldn’t get rid of the lumps.3. The whisk I was using just wasn’t cutting it.That’s when I jumped at the chance to try this Matcha kit—and I was completely blown away by both the quality and quantity of items included! What’s Inside & Why It’s Worth It- Matcha Bowl (Chawan) – It’s generously sized, giving you enough space to sift your matcha and then add frothy milk or hot water. Plus, since it’sceramic, it retains heat beautifully.- Chasen (Bamboo Whisk) – This was a lifesaver for my arthritis-prone hands! It’s sturdy yet comfortable to hold, making it easy to use the traditional "W" or “zig-zag” (Z) method to create a smooth, lump-free Matcha. Thanks to the fine bamboo prongs, I no longer have to scrape the bottom of the bowl to break up clumps.- Matcha Spoon (Chashaku) – Perfectly designed for measuring teaspoon-sized portions of matcha. It’s long, well-balanced, and incredibly sturdy.- Stainless Steel Sifter – This was the real game-changer! Even my Rishi Matcha, which tends to clump, became silky smooth after sifting. I wasn’t sure if I’d actually use this piece, but now I can’t imagine making Matcha without it.Final ThoughtsThanks to this kit, I can now enjoy my usual two servings of Matcha in a properly sized bowl—without any frustrating clumps. I was initially sceptical about drinking straight from the chawan, but it actually makes the experience even better. Plus, whisking Matcha together has become a fun little ritual to do with my partner! If you’re looking for an authentic Matcha experience without the hassle of clumps, this kit is absolutely worth it.
