Great seller!
Purchased the Vanguard Alta Pro 2 264AO tripod to go with a Vanguard HD 82A spotting scope. Works great! Had an issue with first tripod I received and Amazon/Beach Camera made return and reordering a breeze. I believe this tripod model has been discontinued by Vanguard, but highly recommend Beach Camera as a seller for their customer service.

Good but heavy.
Really heavy but seems to be solid.

Light, portable, and durable.
I picked up this tripod a few months back and I have been very happy with it.. As an outdoor videographer that’s always on the go I’m not real easy on my equipment. So far, it’s held up to the challenge. It’s light, extremely portable, and it can literally be set up in seconds. Perfect for someone who often needs to set up in a hurry. Although I’m not using extremely heavy cameras on this particular tripod, stability has never been an issue, which is nice given its weight.

Satisfied with an asterisk
I was going to return this item but changed my mind. I have the same make/model tripod and wanted an identical one for convenience (different locations). The detachable top of this tripod did not match my other one. Every time that I want to switch tripods, I'll have to change that part. This means unnecessary wear and tear. Not the fault of the seller but the manufacturer should change the model information as it misled me (my opinion).

I liked this tripod the most of all the ones I ...
I liked this tripod the most of all the ones I tried, mostly because of the ability to control it with just my left hand, leaving my right hand free to operate the focusing wheel on my spotting scope. It is smooth to operate but stable, even in wind and on uneven ground. The one star I deducted was due not to the tripod, but to the included carrying bag. For some reason, the manufacturers decided to make the top of this bag a very bright neon yellow, like a bicyclist would wear for visibility on the road. They must have known that their target consumers include birders, wildlife photographers, and hunters--all people who value camouflage and earth-toned products. Now I need to find ways to cover up the yellow part of the bag when I go out into the field, or else leave it behind. That design detail was foolish. Otherwise, this is a well-made product.
