Rockwell Multi-Tool blade adapter
I have an older Rockwell Soni Crafter multi tool. It still works fine but I can’t find blades that fit it. The adapter works perfectly so now I can use the blades that are offered at the hardware store. Very happy with this purchase.

difficult to line up in tool, holds blade securely, but came in with magnets damaged.
This isn’t the easiest item to work with. Perhaps, it depends on the oscillating tool and blades. I am using it on a Tool Shop Oscillating tool, which is tightened by a Hex screw. It is difficult to keep the adjuster in place while adjusting it.One main flaw when it came in which I think has to do with the packaging. That flaw makes the item a poor choice, unfortunately. The pieces were set directly on top of one another in the package with no barrier between the magnets. The four magnetic pieces that were touching had the outer silver colored paint damaged and flaking off. You can see that in the photos. I’m not that familiar with magnets, but read that if they are stored touching (especially if the same poles are touching) it can weaken the strength of the magnets. Perhaps the reaction between the magnets disrupted the paint?? The adapters are still magnetic on both sides, but the paint flaking off is rather messy.I got this adjuster in order to use saw pieces from an old broken tool, on a Tool Shop brand oscillating tool (which uses the Starlock system). I have a lot of these saw blades that I don’t want to go to waste. Especially since those things are not cheap. The design on the blades is the original. Because this adjuster has the hexagon shaped hole in the center, it fits snugly on the head of the Tool Shop Oscillating tool. However, the bumps on the tool that need to line up with the original blades don’t line up quite right with the slots in those original blades. Also, the bumps are small enough, that they don’t grip the holes particularly well either. I believe the magnets are supposed to help hold the adjuster in place while you tighten the blade into the tool’s grasp. They hold it in place slightly, but not quite enough. The adjuster sometimes loosens as I am using the tool and the blade slips out. I can prevent it by just checking if it is loosening when I first use the tool for a little while. I does this when I either don’t have it lined up right on the blade. It is difficult to line it up right because I can’t see what I am doing so well and I tend to have it shift when I am trying to tighten the grip from the tool. Once I get it tightened when lined up right, it works well and doesn’t loosen as used. It keeps the blade firmly secured into the oscillating tool.Simple design. Think through your tools and saw heads to find if the scenario requires this type of adjuster. The metal is solid and flat. The magnet issue is the main con, and a major one with this specific item.

Rockwell Tool Upgrade: How Adapters Solved My Blade Woes
I have an older corded Rockwell tool that I’ve been using for years. It’s very powerful and incredibly useful for a wide variety of projects, but I’ve always struggled with keeping the blades from loosening because the ring that clamps them never fit properly. While looking for replacement blades, I stumbled upon these adapters, and now swapping blades is almost effortless. I don’t have to clamp them down as tightly because they sort of fall into place—especially with the little magnets that keep them aligned and ensure the nubs stay in the right position. This adapter makes my Rockwell tool much more user-friendly and significantly reduces the time it takes to change blades. Plus, they actually stay in place, unlike with the original collar. I would highly recommend these adapters if you’re constantly struggling with blades staying secure and loosening during cutting.
